A great local festival with plenty to look at, eat and hear. The seafood is served with the proper accompaniments and there are adult beverages available for purchase. The live music is always upbeat and will likely have you wanting to move along with it. There are tons of craft booths to wander through. The price is right...FREE! You just have to purchase tickets to exchange for fest favorites like fried scallops , shrimp, and oysters, scallops imperial, and lobster bisque. The local people who work the fest are mostly volunteers who enjoy serving you and the fest benefits the community and its residents. It is a fun time for adults and families with older children. Read moreThey are not accommodating to the handicapped. Tried to go just a few minutes ago with my handicapped parents. The sheriffs office had the road blocked because the parking was full and sent us to an alternate site to ride the shuttle back to the festival. My parents had two mobility carts that could not be loaded on the shuttle and then be able to board (using regular buses). We asked to unload the carts at the festival and then go park, but was refused! Will be reporting to the appropriate government agencies.
