This is a great dealership. We purchased an incredible used vehicle 6 years ago and needed some emergency service on it yesterday morning. The intake tech was super helpful even though their workload was full for the day. My husband was pretty stressed about the car. This young man (Iām sorry I didnāt catch his name) maintained a wonderful can-do attitude and friendly, professional demeanor. He went above and beyond for us by checking our codes and giving us a printout to figure out what it was. He offered to help us get into another shop that might be able to fit us in same day. He even said he could drive us home if we needed. I seriously have never experienced a more helpful auto tech. Many will just shoo you away with an attitude when they are too full.
We returned a little while later to look at what they had for sale. One gentleman kindly greeted me at the door right away and began searching inventory for us. When I greeted Ben he realized that we had worked together in the past and he very courteously connected us with Ben since he sold us our last vehicle. Ben worked with us for a few hours, patiently helping us find a vehicle in our price range. Heās awesome! I trust this guy. He is an upfront, stand up guy with a great sense of humor and industry knowledge. Our 10 yr old son had lots of questions and was quite enthusiastic about ALL the details. Ben was great with him and answered his endless questions patiently and even laughed and joked with him which we appreciated. These wonderful employees turned our terrible day around and I highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was staying at South Higgins Lake State Park and had driven to Hartwick Pines for a day trip with my 95 lb Labrador Retriever.
On my way back to the campground on a small back road in my 2014 Dodge Durango, the "engine coolant exceeds maximum temperature" warning came on. I immediately pulled over and called a tow truck. While waiting, I looked up the closest Dodge dealership, and was pleased to see Matt LaFontaine had a branch in Grayling.
After the tow truck dropped the car, me and the dog off, the service department took the time to immediately review my extended warranty and look at the car to see what needed to be done. In a short time I knew that the car needed a new water pump and thermostat. The service department was unable to locate our warranty on their computer, and they explained that, although I would need to pay for the repairs upfront, they would give me everything needed to apply for reimbursement under the warranty.
They had the parts in stock, and despite the job requiring 5 hours, the repairs were completed the next day.
Until the car was repaired, I was stranded 165 miles from home with both my big dog and our travel trailer. The staff was aware of my situation, and they went beyond what they needed to do to make repairs to my car a priority, and get me back on the road. All of the loaner cars were out, so one of the staff even drove me and my dog back to my trailer in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: GM doesn't really have 3 year bumper to bumper as it reads online. Paint, glass, tires, not sure what else only covered for ONE year! Three year maybe mechanical, not sure, no one has ever exactly explained all. Maybe it's on all those papers you don't read every little word.
Update: Dealership is working with us to resolve our situation. Will update results.
One year ago we bought a 2023 GMC Savanna, they are telling us GM only has a one year, 12,000 mile warranty. Today's world I haven't heard of a one year, 12,000 mile warranty on a new vehicle. Won't be back here. Don't recall in this review saying I purchased from LaFontaine, do recall saying your company told me there is a 12,000 mile warranty on a new vehicle. The paint job is faulty on our 2023 GMC Van, can send you the email I received from your company! I called your company a week ago asking if I bought my Van from another company can I bring there for warranty work, your companies answer was 'Yes', now because your company is unable to understand GM, I went to their website put in my VIN number and it shows me what is under warranty we have 36,019, so how can your dealership tell me 12,000? Warranty doesn't go by dealership it goes by GM, it's the same at every dealership. If you guys can't figure that out, you don't deserve a good review. Already sent a message to GM against...
