Northern Michigan Escape Rooms LLC — Attraction in Grayling

Did the CDC room and dragon room with a couple friends, one of whom was the only one of us that had done escape rooms before. I like playing escape games on the phone, and am pretty good at them, so I felt somewhat prepared, and we had a lot of fun and barely beat both rooms. We did have some help, more so on the dragon room, though these rooms are designed for 4+ people, so we were at a disadvantage. The owners seemed to be really good at gauging just how much help we needed, offering the bare minimum to keep us on track and ultimately succeed. They were also very friendly and a pleasure to chat with. We only had plans to do one room originally, but after that we had to do another. And the prices are very reasonable. Not having anything to compare it to, I can only say that it met my expectations and was a lot of fun, and the friend that had done other escape rooms seemed impressed. Escape rooms are kind of our family's thing, but we are hardly experts. We just like to have fun. While in Michigan on a rainy day in June we discovered this place and thought we would give it a try. To be honest, we are used to "big city" escape rooms and were not really sure what to expect when we pulled up to the building. Trust me, don't pass it up. We did the pirate room. It was challenging and fun, but not overwhelming. The owners were great to work with and they were there for us to have fun which we really appreciated. My wife and I and another couple went to the Northern Michigan Escape Room in Grayling and all I can say is WOW what a blast. The prices were very fair and much more reasonable than some of the other escape rooms we have visited. The owners Stan and Mary Jo were very polite and spent some time talking with us about the history of how they began the escape room and after some talking we decided to try the Saloon and with a little help on their end we were able to finish just in time.
