Hanson House Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Grayling

This property is a true gem. Our Hostess, Heather, is truly a gem herself. My Associate and I travelled through Grayling and chose to stay here instead of a Hotel. We both agreed that it was truly an exceptional experience. The Hotel is unique, clean and very interesting with all kinds of historical artifacts and old photos. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were old but highly functional and then there’s Heather. We told her we would be leaving around 8:15. Breakfast is served at 9:30 am. She put together fruit dishes with yogurt, coffee, juice, muffins and included to-go cups for coffee. Stayed here for the Fourth of July weekend and loved it. It was like a home away from home. Inn keepers Heather and Paul were awesome hosts. They owned the Cobblestone Manor in Auburn Hills, Mich, which also is a lovely property. I had a great experience there and had great expectations which were exceeded. We have a wonderful deal for two nights, plus candlelit breakfast and holiday BBQ. Rooms were clean and cozy. The beautiful Hanson mansion reminded me of my great grandmother's home. Conveniently located three blocks from Downtown Grayling, the Hanson House is nicely situated for a fun small-town weekend. And if you want to know about the breakfast - it was delish. . The hostess made us a very nice breakfast. The owner was able to accommodate our need, was very pleasant to work with. If you like history, this is a gem with many original pieces of furniture and splendid tiled fireplaces. Nice gathering room with soda, popcorn, etc in a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by rescued stain glass windows. The first floor room was appreciated since stairs would not have worked with a knee injury. Massive, splendidly comfortable bed complete with step stool to get up that high was comfortable.
