Hobby Time RC — Local services in Great Falls

Short Story: The service these people have provided has been absolutely top notch. I most definitely recommend them. In the future, I will go out of my way to make sure they receive my business.

Long Story: I was searching for a Torvol Quad Pitstop Backpack Pro, but everywhere was either out of stock or back ordered. I reached out to Hobby Time RC via Facebook Messenger, and they responded promptly stating they did have them available. I immediately ordered it along with Torvol's LiPo Safe Bag.

Before the backpack arrived at my house, Hobby Time reached out to let me know they believed they had accidentally shipped the wrong backpack. They had discovered they may have accidentally shipped the Quad Pitstop Backpack rather than the Pro version. They assured me that they would hold onto the Pro until I could verify if the backpack was the correct version or not.

As soon as my order arrived, I shot them a message confirming I had received the wrong bag, and they immediately shipped the Pro version.

As for the Quad Pitstop Backpack, I ended up purchasing it at a discount (shipping charges) as well so neither one of us had to worry about shipping. It wasn't as much that I needed the extra backpack as it was the level of customer service I had received throughout the process.

These guys are top notch. Nowadays, it is extremely rare to find people/businesses that are this honest and great to work with. I will go out of my way to make future purchases from them.

The motor mount I like to use for some of my RC planes is kind of hard to find these days, but Hobby Time had it and at the right price. They shipped it out promptly and was exactly what I ordered. The only strange thing was the packaging. The box had obviously been used several times before, and still had some previous shipping labels on it that had a blank label stuck over them. The box was beat up pretty bad and poorly taped. The weirdest thing was when I opened it it smelled as if at some time it had been filled with spearmint Lifesavers or something. It had a very strong odor of spearmint or wintergreen or something. Not a biggie, I'll still give you 5 stars. It was just kind of strange; I'm used to more professional packaging. I'm all for recycling and I understand you're a small operation, so it's cool. Good luck to you. (2 days later) I'm a dope! I was just getting ready to put the box in my recycling and noticed a small blue zip lock bag at the bottom under the packing. I have been going here for a little over a year and I gotta say Zach and the gang are the most knowledgeable and nicest R/C enthusiasts I have ever met. Their passion and knowledge makes for an awesome experience. They take the time to make sure I understand what I am doing. They do awesome repair work and have an awesome understanding of what parts to recommend and offer to make my build awesome. They have awesome programs like lay a way and in house financing to help get me the toys I want. Some might say go online it’s cheaper. Well there’s something to be said for having parts readily available and supporting a local business is more than worth it.
