Haverkos Family Orthodontics — Local services in Green Township

EDIT: Dr. Haverkos did call me and apologized and offered to make it right. I told him I won’t be returning but he did offer to refund my retainer which I appreciated. However the front office asked me where to send the check and then didn’t respond and sent it to the wrong location. I did get it, but the front office had major issues.

As a long time patient I’m failing to understand all of the good reviews. I went to Dr. Reddy for my braces as a teen and experienced the WORST bedside manner from him, consistently. I can’t fathom working with kids if you can’t stand them.

Now, as an adult I saw Dr. Haverkos for my new retainer. I had high hopes because he seemed to be showing that while he may be with Dr. Reddy, he cares about his patients. I was let down when I got a retainer that had a large bite plate in it. I wore it but it cause a lot of pain in my lower teeth at night and I was waking up sore. I called the office and they told me an unequivocal NO, they refused to make it without the bite plate. I explained all of my pain and that I was biting through it and it was cracking. I was told I needed to go somewhere else. Fast forward and I bit through the retainer, it cracked and broke, now I’m forced to go somewhere else and get a new one. The practice refused to work with me in any way and told me to just keep wearing it through the pain, which is crazy

Long story short… there is no change in the culture at this office. They do not care about you as a patient. I will never come back...

My daughter had extreme anxiety prior to arriving at the office. She arrived in tears and left with the biggest smile on her face. The atmosphere upon entering the office was cheerful and calming. She is 9 so she loved that they were playing “cool” songs throughout the office. Everything is clean, up to date, and decorated nicely.

However, the most important part is how she was treated. Sue and all the women at front desk were friendly and immediately began comforting her and reassuring her of what was to come. They were so empathetic. We began with a tour of the entire facility including information, as a parent, I loved, and end of treatment goodies previews which my daughter loved.

We were blessed to work with Jen, who did most of our consultation prior to Dr. Haverkos coming in. She was amazing. She was so patient and explained everything to my daughter and was the key to finally calming her down. She was personable warm and kind— she is everything a kid and mother could want in a medical professional.

Lastly we met with Dr. H. and it was easy to see why the atmosphere in the office is as positive and friendly as it is. He is the epitome of bed side manner. He made a point to get to know my child prior, making jokes, and relating to her experiences. He examined her quickly and explained everything to me so thoroughly and also to my child. If you are looking for an ortho for your child, I would recommend them...

We had such a wonderful experience at Haverkos Family Orthodontics! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and genuinely cared for. My daughter was a little nervous before her appointment, but the entire team went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable.

Jen was absolutely amazing—so kind and patient. She took her time to explain everything she was doing, both to my daughter and to me, which made the entire process so much easier. You can truly tell she loves what she does and cares deeply for the families she works with.

Dr. Haverkos was just as incredible. As a dad of three himself, he really understands the importance of patience and kindness. He answered all our questions thoroughly and in a way that made us feel confident and informed. It’s rare to find a doctor who is not only skilled but also so personable and down-to-earth.

We even got a fun little tour of the office and a goodie bag at the end—which was such a thoughtful touch! This team truly knows how to treat their patients (and their parents!) like family. We’re so grateful we found them and would recommend Haverkos Family Orthodontics a...
