Went to see Alien: Romulus the night of 8/15/24. Movie began, but the lights did not turn off. I went to the front desk, and told the lone employee there that the lights were still on. He thanked me, and told me he would be right on it.
Ten minutes pass, and the lights are still on. I go back out, and that same employee is scooping popcorn into a trashbag while talking to another employee. I told them the lights were still on, and that the movie was difficult to watch with the lights still on. The original employee exits from behind the desk and power-walks away with his head down.
This is where things get out-of-pocket. The second employee, clearly upset about something, says "what do you want us to do about it?! We're low level employees, and we have no control over what's going on 'up there. We have to call a district manager, and HOPE they'll do something about it." I told her I had no way of knowing that, since the previous employee had told me they could solve it without issue. She responded by saying "I don't care; I'm paid minimum wage. Come back tomorrow for a refund if you want. I'll still be here for when you complain again."
I apologized for the trouble, told her that I had paid in cash, and walked back into the movie. After five more minutes, the lights turned off. They came back on forty-five minutes later, thirty minutes after concessions closed and the employees where gone.

Read moreMy wife and my parents went to see Dunkirk. We ordered the tickets and our soda and popcorn from 2 different cashiers. My wife and I received our soda and popcorn but my parents received just their tickets and the person started waiting on the people behind us. We told him and he just kind of gave us a blank stare so the 2nd associate got my parents stuff. We went and sat down, and the movie started about 15 minutes late. The movie starts and and it's extremely loud. To the point where we had to cover our ears because the gunshots were making my ears ring, thankfully they turned it down a bit. We were toward the end of the movie and they lost power. Unfortunate I understand, but no one came in to tell us what was happening or that they were working to fix it or anything. So I went back out to let them know it needs rewound and the lights are on. The blonde kid just kinda had a blank look on his face and the 2nd associate just said, we lost power. No apology no were fixing it, nothing. So the video comes on again after about 5 minutes and they never rewound it and the lights never got turned off again. After all this we spoke to the manager and each of us received a free movie pass to ncg, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Thank you to the manager that looked like he was...
Read moreThis was the review it continued to not allow contact with on the NCG 'Contact' link online... my submitted request has been spinning for 4 hours. Now for everyone.
My daughter, her friend and I entered the Greenville (MI) NCG theater at 3:20 PM for the advertised 3:30 PM showing of The Lion King and were given printed (and, according to the ticket, 'non-refundable') passes to the 2:30 showing of The Lion King. By the time we had our seats, an entire hour of the movie had been played; I did not choose to cause a scene with two 8 year old children in my company, so chose to patiently wait until now to raise my concern. The Greenville theater has always been very good to us, but I feel very let down now... I don't wish for a refund, but would appreciate very much if there were some way for the theater to make right this situation. We have attended countless movies at this location, and would much like to do so in the future. This could be the dealbreaker without a resolution. I don't typically do this, but await a response toward a resolution so we can continue our mutual relationship-you as provider,...
