i called tuesday morning asking if i would be able to get my juicy couture track pants taken in & i was told i would be able to. i thought this is great, i have never used this tailor before but i saw good reviews and decided to roll with it. i bought a black juicy couture tracksuit a while back and have had it sitting in my closet for forever, since then i have lost a little weight and a friend and i decided we wanted to use our tracksuits for a halloween costume this year. i just needed to have mine taken in. i had made it ver clear to this tailor alan that these pants are worth something and that they are real juicy couture. these tracksuits are $120 retail and he completely jacked my tracksuit. i went in for this tuesday and he said it would be tight for him but he could get it done by Thursday for my halloween party saturday. i thought that was awesome and he sloppily marked where he needed to take in and hem with safety pins. i just picked up my tracksuit and first of all they are hemmed way too short, we marked them just below my heels & they are now right below my ankles & he didn’t even take in my pants the right way, he said it was easier for him to just cut the elastic band on the inside and sew it back up which he did. these pants didn’t fit me at all before, they somewhat do now but from what he told me on tuesday i was expecting much better work than this for $60 on my $120 tracksuit. i would have never in a million years have spent $60 on someone to hem and take in a pair of pants on something that’s “just a halloween costume”. these tracksuits are extremely expensive and i wanted them taken in so they would fit me right for forever. not just a quick fix up job. not for this price. i was told the owner is out on vacation until after elections, i will be contacting her directly after she is back from her vacation to let her know of my very unfortunate experience. if you have something that is “just a Halloween costume” & want to spend $60 on something you could learn to do yourself but just don’t quite have enough time then by all means this is your guy but i would not recommend him to anyone. i am so incredibly upset over this. my grandma could’ve done...
Read moreUpon recommendation from a friend, my daughter and our friend took her dress to this company for alterations. Which pick up was weeks from when it was left with this company, which is fine its wedding season and it takes time to alter dresses and other items. The receptionists rudeness is the main reason I will never seek services from this company. From the first phone call on Thursday to see if I can pick up my daughter's dress a day early, after them having it for a few weeks, the receptionist would not allow me to speak and kept cutting me off. It was verbalized that the dress would be ready for pick up in the afternoon for the day prior to the original pick up date. The second phone call, done on the same day that pick up was discussed from the Thursday phone call, same receptionist was still rude and kept cutting me off and major attitude. It would have just been better off if I was told the alteration would not be ready a day early from the first phone call, I would have just picked up and...
Read moreI was a panicked bride less than a week before my wedding and there was a hole in the middle of my dress. I'm originally from Jersey and the previous seamstress ignored the hole after asking her multiple times to fix it and told me she did. (I had other issues with her too). I wish I had taken it to Elizabeth from the start instead. Her work was so good and clever you couldn't tell there ever was a hole.
Price way beyond reasonable, and she was so personable. Recently moving to Connecticut it was a gamble to try her. She had compassion and empathy and gave me confidence she could get it done. I would go to her for any and all alterations in the future. If there was a way to give more than 5...
