Dollar General — Local services in Groves

Unusual,but I'm going to say I'm proud of 👮. I'm usually late going and getting to places,since my vehicles were stolen, my intentions were to get to Dollar general at least 40 min before closing, but of course I was late and it was upon closing time. I, setting back looking on phone to figure ND out if there were any other local stores in groves to run in still open, looked up after 7 min, and THIER he was, a city of Groves Texas (marked) "police vehicle" **(personal opinion is they should have purple metallic vehicles with silver /White letters and black outline)(unique)headed toward me. Officers window was down already, as he trying not to smile,knowing who I was, told us that store employee called them for security. He had to check for thier safety. I'm glad people take precautions in this area. God knows we should not have to, but now until things get back to the way God planned, we must all protect each other, even if standby, for anyone,even someone you might think is part of the "bad guys" "rude ol lady's club" or whatever click,you may never know, that may be the one you might step in and help, to scared to ask or say anything with fear of judgement or rejection. Just make sure they aren't being taken advantage of or targeted or used because they have no one person here to provide thier own body guards,gaurdians, secret security. Police,agents,angels,cops,officers,uca, GCU Keep up the good effort and make it show. Chose to stand UP together,not against, to protect and provide positive support, plan a groves improvement project, go back and check projects done, Parks need to be looked at closely. Electrical issues safety, street lights need called in to make them come out for all to work for security, have them review paper on our water sewer drainage issues.....issues at this time are serious for all you must report this to general landboffice that they are charging and nit doing my ditches are maintained by me and neef augering and its made me sad that they hit a line yrs back old contracting company groves hired and groves refuses to fix it causing my water bill to be outragous. Negligent ..read your city's reports guys...united...you might have a little voice but big impact on some poor familys life. Couldn't get down the isles because they had metal stocking racks on almost all of them. Cluttered. Not well organized. One employee outside in front taking big hits off her vape like it was going out of style, all of the workers dressed in black but very unprofessional,untidy and inappropriate. Went to check out, put my things on counter and waited a few minutes till I had someone to check me out. Then, she scanned each item without picking them up and told me my total, as she stared blankly at me I gave her the money and she gave me my change and as I waited for her to put my items in a bag, she didn't, she stared at me like I was stupid. I made a comment about a bag and she told me with a attitude , " we don't have bags today!". I'm very nice so I just said, ok I guess I will just put my things back in my basket and go. Have a nice day, and she looked at me like I was crazy. The other day same vape girl was out in front vaping. And the other one behind counter playing the radio loud. She had such a tight and short shirt on. I'm surprised that they let thier employees work like that. They need someone else to do the hiring over here at this store. A more professional,business individual and they might have better luck with...

This store sucks. I can always count on them to not have what I came for. Half the time the shelves are bare and the place looks like its going out of business. You can barely navigate the aisles with a shopping cart due to the merchandise carts full of unstocked merchandise. Then we you go to check out there is always a mile long line and then there will inevitably be a problem with the register os something. It is obvious that the store is understaffed and has been since they opened the Groves location. I have gotten to where I dont even waste my time going there and go to the Port Neches store. Its a little bit further but it is well worth the extra time and gas to not have to deal with the aggravation of the Groves store!! All the problems I described at the Groves location do not exist at the PN store!! The Jefferson City locatiin is better than the Groves store!! I hate this store and will do my best to never shop...
