Dressin' Up — Local services in Groves

I cannot stress enough how incredible my experience was from my very first interaction with this bridal store. It’s too bad so many of my friends are already married, because I would tell them till I’m blue in the face that THIS store and the lovely employees in it are going to help make their dream wedding dress a reality 🥹 it also doesn’t hurt that their website has a feature that tells you what’s in store that you can try on! Also they can order your dress in your size! About my experience, I had been calling, emailing for weeks on end about their stock, and they were patient and helpful every time. Being out of state, they offered me every option possible, even flying someone over to me with the dress I was looking at so I could try it on and not have to fly over! When I mentioned getting plane tickets they were so focused on helping me, they even wanted to make sure I was comfortable and offered to help me plan my trip. I ended up hopping on a plane with my mom to go try on all my favorites in store personally and I was greeted by all the lovely employees that were in store, just as excited as I was. They set up a table with treats and some of my favorite snacks and nearly rolled out the red carpet for me. Of all the bridal shops I’ve visited in person, this place was the most special of them all. I nearly cried. Not to mention the patience and assistance from everyone in the store helping me try on about 30 or less dresses. Time flew by and even though I’m sure these ladies were tired of me, they sure didn’t show it! 😅 i could go on and on and on but I’ll never forget my experience here with the whole team, from the store manager, Tammy, personally receiving my mom and I, to my now friend Emily who has patiently done everything possible to accommodate my needs, (even texting me back almost every day to help me decide) to Yuli who helped me narrow down all my favorites and try on a bunch of new dresses I noticed, to Alec who assisted with separating the “no” dresses, and bringing me water when I got overheated from trying on so many dresses, to Brook, who helped weigh in when I needed an extra opinion, to the lovely Morilee representative who was there from beginning to end! If you’re a bride and you live nearby, you have to visit. If you don’t live nearby and you make the effort to visit, it with fully be worth it! Update June 2020:

After a particularly stressful 6 months (TPC explosion damaging our new home, my mother taking a turn for the worse and requiring my daily care, other family issues, and the pandemic), I did not think I would find my dress. I visited several shops in the area and one in Houston - no gown worked. Some were OK on my body, but not lovely. I had an appointment with Dressin' Up in January 2020 where I thought I'd found the dress but I couldn't close the deal on it. Then the pandemic hit, and my mother's health got worse. When shops opened up again, Kari, allowed me to come in as a single appointment to protect myself and my mother from illness. Mandy, a friend from my elementary school days, helped me each time and was invaluable in helping me find my style and ultimately my gown!! She, Kari, and Shelbi were so kind, thoughtful, and lovely. They worked together to create a try-on at home option, which helped me include my mother in this bridal experience - you all will never know how much that means to me! ♥ Mandy, thank you for leading me to Chic Nostalgia and for helping me take photos when I went in alone. You are absolutely the best, and I'm so glad we were able to reconnect. We hope to see you and your future hubby at the wedding and reception! And, thank you all for allowing me to take the "I said yes" photo by my car with my mother (We were returning from her appt and she was not well enough to walk into the shop). ♥

Dressin up staff is the best. I had been to previous shops but didnt find anything that I loved. A fruend suggestion dressin up because she had the same problem til she got her dress here. She was right! This place is beautiful, filled with every gown you could dream of. After I got my dress, my entire family got their dress there as well. I wanted to do some DIY for my wedding & when I realized that I could not make a veil I was worried that I wouldnt be able to get on ordered in time. I found a beautiful cathedral length veil and they had it in stock! My fiancé mom bought the same dress as my mother, so my mom wanted something else. We returned to dressin up 30 days before my wedding and got my mom another dress! It would be hard to find a dress anywhere else on such short notice. I was very surprised by the affordability of the shop, it is a gorgeous shop but the prices are on point! In one of my many trips to the shop I saw a cute green cocktail dress on sale & I had no event to wear it to but I couldnt pass it up!! I will definitely be taking my daughter here for...
