Called the Pawn Shop and asked if they had .22lr ammo in stock. A young women then answered the and so i asked her. She politely asked me to wait a moment while she checked. 10 mins later still on hold, so i hang up and call right back. This time a man answers the phone and i ask him he said yes.
Once I got to the pawn shop i go inside and they where packed. I waited in line for the ammo then the man hands the ammo to a women and i walk over to the register. Women asked me if i had $0.36 (exact change). I said no, hand her the money she opens the register and walks off for a moment. after about a min or so im standing there slightly confused waiting for my change.
The women hands me the change and walks off. I was slightly puzzled since she handed me $3 and ask her how much the ammo was she shows me on the receipt and walks off. I tell her this isnt right.
Told her I gave her a $20. She stands their for a moment and brings over a manager. The man asked me if i gave her a $10. I told them no, i gave her a $20 (which i did i went to my banks ATM right before I got there and pulled out $100, they only give $20's).
I tell the manager that i welcome them to pull the camera and check. The manager says give it to him. I thank them.
The women then says "its only $10, we will just take the loss".
I then welcome them to check the cameras again. The women says its no big deal so i offer to give them my cellphone number so they can call me if the drawer was short.
She refuses.
It was my first time I went to the store and I can say it will be the last time. The event put me in a bad mood for the rest of the evening. I know for a fact I gave her a $20 since all i had was $100 all in $20's.
It was the fact the women so blatantly accused me of theft that offended me. It cost me more in gas to go down there then she claims i stole from them.
She was extremely rude and iv never felt so disrespected in a business ever.
It's my birthday today and even 7 hours later im still angery about this and plan to call them in the morning to see if that draw was really...

Today, we called Dad's Super Pawn on Highway 49 to ask what my cousin's husband, Alex, would need to bring in to get an ID card. The woman we spoke with was incredibly rude, repeatedly claiming she couldnāt understand him due to his accent. Shockingly, she then asked if he was an American citizen, which felt completely out of line, and hung up on him.
I called back and spoke to a different employee, who explained that she had become frustrated because she couldnāt understand him. He transferred me back to her so I could clarify the question myself. Unfortunately, she continued to be rude, making inappropriate and racially charged comments about our accent, implying that we "shouldnāt talk like that" if we are citizens.
When I asked to speak with a manager, she claimed to be the manager, used profanity, called me a derogatory name, and hung up again.
I have never personally experienced racism before, but witnessing this level of disrespect and discrimination against my family was infuriating and deeply upsetting. As an American woman married to a Hispanic man, Iāve always believed that a personās character matters far more than their background. Treating someone poorly because of their accent or heritage is unacceptable in any circumstance.
We will never step foot in this business again. No one deserves to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Dad's Super Pawn Shop, which has compelled me to vow never to recommend their services to anyone. I intend to share the details of my encounter on my Facebook page through a comprehensive video review, highlighting the subpar treatment I received despite being a loyal customer since childhood, now aged 33. Iām Also speaking with a lawyer because they threw my lap top and caused damage to my computer! Please go somewhere else donāt pawn your items here when you going though a ruff time they donāt care they try to talk to you like you are they kids and Iām grown with grown kids what I look like letting another grown person talk to me like Iām a damn child yall go to my Facebook to view the video. The owner demonstrated a lack of professionalism by rationalizing the employee's behavior, effectively condoning unacceptable conduct. Regrettably, the service was substandard, and I faced payment delays, only receiving compensation the subsequent day when prompt payment was required. The treatment I received was unacceptably poor. I am holding the man in the red shirt responsible for damaging my computer, which now has a cracked screen. I plan to pursue legal action and understand that the shorter individual is allegedly the owner, whose conduct was disappointingly...
