TLDR: don't even try to buy cosmetics or lube here. Go straight to the internet.
I have had to edit my review and give fewer stars. It's gotten to where I only go there if I have to. There are some items that are the best deals in town, and that's great. It's great that they're open till 11. But their toiletries and cosmetics dept has become awful.
They've locked down nearly everything in the cosmetics section, and the sexual health section, IF you can find someone to help you access these items, they will walk you to the register and watch you ring it up like you're being suspected of theft. It's so weird. Also, these items are extremely overpriced compared to the online prices. I know Gunni probably doesn't have the highest demand for cosmetics and beauty products, but the selection is absurd. Hardly any deep shades for foundations. (Side eye). They don't offer the bestselling/popular products from the available brands...but sometimes you just need to grab something.
I know shoplifting can be a problem but this isn't a huge city where people steal like crazy. It's like the management doesn't even want to sell these products. I would much, much rather be able to run in and grab what I need, than order online, but they're making it impossible. It's just really annoying that the stuff is RIGHT THEERE but inaccessible. Maybe install more surveillance and actually pay attention to it? Hire loss prevention personnel? Also the employees on the floor are rarely working. Just goofing off and watching TV on their phones. Standing around talking. I mean good on them for getting free money but it's really ridiculous. I know this store makes bank off the tourists but it would be nice to be able to get some items in my own town. Thanks for reading my...
Read moreObviously, this is not a super center - so the lack of selection is understandable. For the most part, the employees are friendly and helpful; however, the group that runs the inventory/shipping/receiving is failing miserably. Most recent example, we live over an hour away and purchased two "solid wood" dressers ($669) - we were notified they had arrived and would be kept for 7 days. We drove in to get them the next day, and they were both mangled (visibly as they sat in boxes). I had them turnaround as they tried to load them in my vehicle. They let me know I'd have to go home, start the return online, and then come back, finish the return, and then they could reorder. After 45 minutes, a manager, and 3 employees, they did finally allow me to return them. The employees did try very hard to figure out the issue, but we should have never been called to pick up our merchandise, with it in visible pieces. The employees were not rude, but this is a basic principle on quality control that needs to be addressed, especially in a remote area like this. This is the second time we have received broken items from online orders from this store. Buyer beware, purchasing from the floor is fine, but be cautious when ordering online for pickup, if your items are even...
Read morePretty much the only place in town to get things, apparently. Very old style Walmart. I needed to get women's clothing (don't bother); basic tools: electric drill (no choices, all are bad quality), bits (same), screwdriver (same), screws (eh, seemed maybe okay probably?); electrical supplies: surge protected power strips (low to average quality), extension cords (seemed okay); computer network cables: I needed more than 10x of anything between 5' and 10', but they only had a few of strange sizes, but at least they had some (I had to come back multiple days to get what I needed); keyboards, two options: generic Walmart brand or lowest quality Logitech (both are low quality); and snacks: they had K-cups in the flavor I wanted (yay), and some other things that seemed good enough, but don't expect anything in the way of actual food, as this is not a food-bearing Walmart.
The Pharmacy seemed...
