Dollar General — Local services in Guyton

Only giving the one star because I have to just to write a review. We have a very sick daughter at home, so we rushed out seeing how it was 9:35pm and this dollar general was the closest and we knew we could make it in time to pick up some over the counter meds to help. We got there right around 9:47pm, the store closes at 10pm. Before we even made it all the way into the store we were greeted very poorly, we were immediately told " We close in 5 minutes" not hello, we close at 10pm. It was said rudely and showed very poor customer service. I looked at my watch and noticed it was only 9:50pm, my wife and I proceeded to go to the meds grab what we needed and got back to the register by 9:51pm. Mind you I was watching the clock, I was very upset with the rude encounter from the "manager" I believe the guy called her Christy, anyway she left the front and the gentleman at the register needed her and had to call her back up front. I said a few choice words and walked out. I would NEVER speak to a customer in that manner! I will be making a formal complaint in the morning. Thanks alot for the worse experience ever in one of...

This Dollar General is the worst one around. The manager April, is rude and disrespectful. They don’t ask you if you need help when you are shopping. They talk loudly amongst themselves and it’s distracting and unprofessional. They don’t work well with their own errors on pricing. Example- tag says BOGO, but it was for the prior weeks sale and they forget to remove it, they don’t honor that sale tag. I’ve experienced this with many of the Dollar General stores, but this one is the worst employee turn around is high because of management and inconstant scheduling. The shelves are always a mess and items are rendomly places all over the store. The bathrooms are always a mess. When vendors come in, they take time away from customer service to deal with them and have one register open with a line around the corner. They also carry on unprofessional and loud conversations with them. Just a bad store all around. Save your time and spend the extra money to go to IGA or Harvey’s. The only positive thing I can say is they do carry a large and good variety of holiday/seasonal items. That’s the one star or else it...

Can see from road.. good excess in and out ..handicap parking at front door...big parking lot..... great house hold needs ... good grocery selection ... all can goods available....good candy and chip section....great cereal selection... all major drink products for the home and kids ... kids buggies ... good detergent selection ... good school needs selection ... great picnic section .. good clothes and socks section ... all bathroom supplies...allergy and cold products...trash cans for outside and inside ... all brands of trash bags of all sizes... all brand food bags and freezer bags.. All personal hygiene products ... all kitchen supplies ... the place is clean ... the help is friendly ... and the prices are very...
