Went to this store to purchase a new iPhone after accidentally dropping and cracking the old iPhone 6. I purchased an iPhone 8 for $800, and I upgraded my data plan. The store associates were extremely pushy about purchasing an "extended warranty" for $11.00 per month, which I cannot afford so I kindly declined the warranty. I was still being pushed for the warranty, but kept saying no. After a few days of having the new iPhone 8, I noticed I was losing my data connection, and I was dropping calls and my service was really spotty. (My old iPhone 6 did better than this brand new iPhone 8!!) I went into the store within the first 2 weeks of having the phone (their policy is that after 2 weeks they cannot exchange the device). The employee said that he saw no problem with the phone so he could not help me, then turned me out the door. I kept going back visit after visit, still telling them my signal was terrible, I could not load anything over my data connection, and I drop calls frequently. The store manager (Jay) told me that all I could get was a refurbished model from Verizon to replace it.
I've had this phone for less than a month and a half, why should I get a refurbished one because the store originally refused to exchange it even while it was still under store warranty?
Just went into the store yet AGAIN today (about my 6th time coming to the store about my issue), November 25 2017. I spoke to the manager Jay. He got the store owner (Sunny Barot) on the phone because it was his day off. Sunny spoke to both my mother and I on the phone, and told my mother that she was wasting his time, and that she should be ashamed of herself for bothering him and his family on his day off, and that all we could get was a refurbished phone from Verizon, which we would have to call and try to get them to agree sending a new phone at all! Sunny also threatened to post the video of us on the surveillance cameras online (which I honestly have no idea what that will accomplish). I will NEVER recommend this store to anybody, because when you have a problem with a purchase, they will refuse to help you.

Read moreI went to Reliance Wireless today to get an upgrade on my phone. I was still using the iPhone 4s, which was completely obsolete. I upgraded to the 6s. The staff greeted me immediately when I entered the store and helped me almost immediately. I am not lying when I say that this was the best experience I have ever had with buying a new phone. The staff listened to my needs and requests and were able to honor them. They made the process go very smoothly and even helped reduce my family's monthly bill while giving us more monthly data! The sales representatives and the owner were very personable. The owner came in and talked very casually to me and another customer. It was clear that customer satisfaction was extremely important to him. My dad called me while I was in the store to ask me about increasing our data plan and the sales representative was very happy and willing to speak with my dad about the data increase and the reduced monthly bill. I usually dread getting a new phone because it takes forever and there are always problems. I was finished with my upgrade in under an hour and would have no hesitation about going back there if I did have any problems with my phone or service. My brother recently upgraded his phone at a different store and had to go back 4 times just to get things right so I made sure to tell him that if he has any other issues, he should go to Reliance Wireless in Hackettstown. Read moreI'd like to give a huge shoutout to Noor and the other employees who were working with him yesterday evening (11/13/21). You all are an awesome team- so helpful!! Noor was the one working directly with us and he was so helpful, kind, patient, and persistent as he worked hard to save my photos and videos from my very outdated iphone7 as I transferred to iPhone13. The other employees were very helpful as well as they worked to troubleshoot the transfer that was giving them lots of trouble because my phone was so out of memory that it wouldn't let me delete apps, download new ones (like the Verizon Transfer app), it had stopped uploading pictures to my cloud over a year ago, and was unable to finish the transfer process multiple times. My phone has been very frustrating for a while now, and they pushed through all of the trouble it was giving them and were able to figure out the problem behind all of this (an app that was using up a TON of space) and figured out how to delete the app and successfully SAVED all of my pictures and videos.
