Centenary Stage Company — Attraction in Hackettstown

Nice stage company! Saw Jesus Christ Superstar and lots of talent in the cast! Great performance all around! Also saw Hair last year and that was a great performance as well! Only thing is their sound system seemed low, such a small theater should be filled wall to wall with very rich sound but unfortunately that was not the case, sometimes the performers were a little hard to hear and was the case with Hair. But overall very happy to have theater basically right in our neighborhood and look forward to going again! I hope thry continue the summer musical series, I know it's a newer program and I wish them much...

NUNSENSE II at Centenary College, Hackettstown, runs through Aug 10. An irreverant, nonstop comedic show with audience participation, ventriliquism, roller dance skating, impersonations and a slew of dance routines are over the top! I was exhausted just watching their moves over the two hour show (with 15 min intermission).

Not to mention that the singers are magnificent! You'll hear from both the pros and Centenary's soon to be pro-stars (kudos to the theater arts program and their talented students)!

If you want a belly laughing night out, this show is NOT...

We attended the Women Playwright Festival. They produced Whippoorwill, a play from the readings in 2019. Wonderfully touching story. Well acted.

There are two more new readings, this and next weekend, which are available live and streaming. These productions are worth the trip each year.

The main theater is beautiful and comfortable. There was plenty of space to provide social distancing and masks and vaccinations...
