A manager at the Hadley store was incredibly rude and condescending toward me when I called to ask a simple question about whether or not the store sells assault style rifles. It turns out they don't, which is great, but it's a reasonable (and responsible) question to be asking and I'd asked politely. In response, the manager became irate. He raised his voice, demanded to know why I wanted to know, accused me of harassment, and claimed that if I was a customer I would have known the answer. The fact is, I was a fairly regular customer up until yesterday, I just never went into the gun department. I no longer feel comfortable shopping there though. With a manager like this setting the tone for his employees it is just not an environment I'd want to support or a space I'd feel comfortable. I have had great experiences finding sturdy and well made clothes that last year after year, wash well and have found made in Vermont socks great for New England winters. so many of to days clothes sold in malls are cheap fashion made in sweat shops and are not sew to last. Sams has a extensive selection of brands for men, women and children and I know that I can trust the clothes sold here will not fall apart during a vacation and the Carhart brand work pants sold here as well as their Carhart warm jackets protected my teenage son from getting injured from a sharp nail with the Carhart double knees protection. He also found these are the only brand of work pants sold in the US that protected his skin from getting burned in his plumbing studies while working with burning materials in the plumbing field. Don"t settle for cheap quality just because prices are low, find some American made clothes here and be willing to support the hard working union...

Service OG! What I love about Sam's is that it feels like stores I grew up with. Here, they employ conscientious staff who are truly knowledgeable about the products. I came in to buy another pair of Asolo hiking boots that had finally given up many, many years of service. The selection of brands is incredible here. I tried a new pair on and it felt like I had on a pair of ski boots. I recalled the long break in time that I shared with Josh. He pointed me towards Oboz, a brand I had never heard of. The combination of fit and comfort was immediately noticed. As I began to walk in them, they felt like I'd had them on for miles.
