GIANT — Local services in Halifax Township

Do not shop here unless you truly want disappointment. I was in store last evening.... Found rotten onions in bin. Found old almost rotten red potatoes in bin....... Last week I couldn't use coupon for asparagus because it was slimy. I had to ask staff member for newer broccoli because what was in bin was old, limp and had white all over the top (that could have been mold) he said he'd just put it out...... Couldn't get deli meat last evening because staff didn't know if they could open new package when I asked because the package that was open had been open too long for my comfort. Any other time other deli staff members do not hesitate to open new package There are entirely too many inconsistencies within the store. You're the only store in the area that even sells boars head meat and I couldn't obtain what I needed..... Went to customer service desk and young man didn't even know who to contact because there was no deli manager on duty. No matter how many times you do a survey or talk to someone nothing changes. You make entirely too many promises that you just can't keep. Total disappointment...

Ordered a cake for a birthday party. The cake was supposed to be of a construction site with a truck and an excavator and blue orange and white made with butter cream.

Ordered it days in advance and upon picking it up, it was a basic memorial day cake with their name written on it in red frosting.

Upon trying to speak to a manager, they were extremely rude and made it out fault for not picking up the cake earlier in the day so we could "address the issue". They then offered the construction vehicles as a $10 extra purchase we could put on top of the cake. Again the cake was not what was ordered. The girl who took the order also did not write down the proper information even though she checked to ensure they had all the pieces for the cake.

Upon calling the store to get the store managers name and hours to discuss this as none of the interaction went well, the stores number is constantly busy.

Do not recommend this giant at all for any purchases as normally the deli closes all it's food down...

Keep having poor experiences here so I’m leaving a review. Bought produce that seemed fine in the store and got home and it was moldy. Bought a carton of egg whites in store and then found there was a leak. Bought yogurt and got home and it was already expired. Called the store to see if they had a specific product and they said no, so I went in to find an alternative and found the exact same product I had asked the employee about not even 15 minutes prior. And on top of these few incidents, there isn’t much of a selection of food items. Giant stores in Harrisburg have at least 1 aisle of healthy food that has gluten free, dairy free, organic, etc. foods but this one doesn’t. I understand that Halifax has a smaller population than Harrisburg but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people who live here that don’t have allergies. The only good thing about this place is that...
