This would be zero stars, if possible. Went to the Hamilton location several times for iPhone screen repair without issues, but last Saturday morning — after avoiding any major drops for a year and a half — it fell and sustained a badly cracked screen. Brought it in that morning, picked it up that afternoon. That night, the screen was still fine, but I noticed a hazy light leaking at the upper left edge of the display and a weird border underneath the screen that I noticed started interfering with some taps near the sides (like closing Safari tabs). But these were minor inconveniences and the screen was crack-free, so I figured I would just keep an eye on it. Well, the next morning, I see a small crack in the upper middle of the screen despite the phone never leaving my hand, a pocket or a surface in the 18 hours or so since it had been fixed. No drops…nothing dropped on it. Within 5 minutes, I see the crack spread the entire width of the phone. Later in the day, a second crack developed off the first. Again, the phone hasn’t even been strenuously jostled. I realize the replacement and/or part was faulty and call Monday (store closed Sunday). I’m pretty much told any crack voids their 6-month workmanship guarantee, but again I tell them the phone wasn’t dropped after getting it back Saturday and mention the other minor issues I saw after the repair. The guy tells me to bring it in the next day so they can look at it. Well, I bring it Tuesday and Jasmine won’t even acknowledge the other issues and accuses me of dropping the phone, which never happened. She was the one who worked on the phone Saturday and basically robbed me of $106 because either her work or the part she used was faulty, and she wouldn’t even give it a courtesy look to examine the work/parts. She turned her back on me several times and then called me “inappropriate” for being upset that she dismissed my issues out of hand without even looking at the phone. Never again with this place. Read moreGot to the store 5 minutes before closing to pick up an urgent order, lights were already off and the door was locked. I attempted calling the number to see if someone was in the back, nobody answered. Called customer service and complained, the next day the store manager called me back to argue with me that I was lying. I told her I had a photo of the closed store and a call log showing i tried to call them prior to their closing time. She continued arguing and asked if i was here or if i called.... both, i was there and I called... i dont quite understand the purpose of her question, i guess she normally stops answering the phone before closing. I ordered from here because i needed the battery last minute, not sure why anyone would do business here other than an emergency situation, the same batteries bulbs are at least 30% cheaper on amazon.
UPDATE - I asked the store manager to cancel my order, she said she would but i haven't received any cancellation yet. I called the Batteries Plus Bulbs site, were i placed the order, and they tell me they have no way to cancel the order and that I have to go back to the store for them to do it. I HAD to go through corporate to get them to replace my screen and the screen protector, then the screen protector slid off again in a few days. I requested a refund because either the product was defective or installed incorrectly. CRYSTAL in their corporate office called and told me to go into the store for a refund and the manager of that store JASMINE HESSING refused to refund me. When I went into the store the other associates SEAN RIDEOUT and another new employee gave poor customer service and would not even give me their names..but of course their names were on my receipts. I have had many phones in my 50+ years of life and have never had screen protectors just slide off. THIS Store's management, sales associates and even their corporate office does not provide good...
