My daughter got a blt which she liked and my wife got a tuna she enjoyed. What was horrible was my roast beef. The meat was grey and was beyond dry. I know they only slice here but if my supplier was sending my store super over cooked product I would refuse it instead of serve it to my customers and have it tarnish my reputation. Not saying this place is bad or anything but if your ordering the RB watch as they make it and if it’s not pink cancel your order.
Response to Owner: I wanna thank you for your response it lets us the customer know how serious you take your profession. I also appreciate the extra mile you go by preparing your own roast beef in house. I understand that you need to reduce product loss everywhere possible but if doing that means sending customers away with a sandwich most would find undesirable doesn’t it seem more logical to discard that product or utilize it another way. The point I’m making is by sending out the well done RB without letting the customer know that is what they are getting you are almost guaranteed to lose that customer which is what is happening in this situation. How many well done RB are going out each day to unknowing customers who in turn next time will go to your competitors. Again I have nothing against you, your staff or the shop but my hope is that this opens you to the thought that most people don’t want dry grey roast beef and when it gets to that point in the roast that your staff tells the customer that they are not getting the best product. This will allow the customer to make the call and leave happy. I am not interested in a refund or a remake but thank you for the offer. Sincerely a...
Read moreAs I imagine is the case with many of Classic Sub Shop's customers, I came in because of their highly advertised $6 lunch special. Times are tough, and everyone is looking for a good deal.
So let me say that, from a value perspective, you simply can't go wrong here. Add-ons will probably bring your total over $6, but only by a dollar or so. Considering the size of the sub (I honestly expected it to be much smaller) it's still a phenomenal deal. Compared to the sad, palm-sized, excuse for a sub the same money will get you at the Wawa next door, it's a no brainer.
That being said, if you're asking about the quality of the subs themselves, I'd have to say they weren't anything too special. There wasn't a lot of meat, and what was there clearly wasn't the top shelf stuff. On the Italian there was not one but two different hams, and yet no pepperoni. Oddly enough they DO offer a pepperoni and cheese sandwich, so it's not like it wasn't available.
In the end though, you have to keep coming back to that $6. Are they the best subs I've ever had? No. But are they the best subs I've ever had for $6? Absolutely.
Would absolutely recommend Classic Sub Shop to others looking for a quick and affordable lunch, and will certainly return myself to try out more...
Read moreI went into my favorite subshop, which I will no longer make a purchase from in the future. Whether it was the owner or staff, I'm not sure but the sub was far from its typical quality. The service was not for me because the gal was very political, which turned me off for good... Their tuna was awesome in the past but not so much now! I am sure they will survive without my 2 sub orders each week.
In response to your response I did not initiate it. I basically just said that my stomach was bothering me. And she asked why and I told her about the election. And then she jumped right in, she jumped right in and said she thought it was for the best and so on. I also then said that yeah my husband died and in fact, I didn't continue to say, but I'm gonna say here... His rememberence is in two days. So no I won't be back... I don't like to be pressured by somebody that I'm purchasing something from right. I'm there as a client I'm there to buy a product. I don't need to hear her opinion. And I don't care what video you say you watched. I didn't initiate anything. I was just complaining that my stomach was bothering me. I will not return to classic...
