I purchased my first above ground pool after Valley was recommended to me from a friend. My pool was installed about a month ago. About a week later from the install date, I noticed water surrounding an area outside of my pool. I called Valley back and informed them of the issue. The first person I spoke to ensured me it was condensation from the weather starting to warm. Even though I expressed it seemed like too much water to be related to condensation, the employee said he was confident this was the reason.
The next day, more water had built up around the same area and it started to flood a portion of my lawn. I called Valley again and requested someone come out and investigate. Two to three days later, reps from Valley came out and said it seemed like there was a leak but theyâd need to call their boss to determine next steps. Reps were very nice but they didnât have a resolution. So water continued to build on my lawn for about a week.
I heard back from Anthony who assisted with getting a diver to come out to investigate but mentioned that since there was no mat placed under the ladder in the pool, it was likely the leak was coming from that area. Again, this was my first time purchasing a pool and the mat placement was never communicated to me from purchase through installation.
The next day the diver came out. He was very helpful. He identified a small tear in the liner in an area where the bottom of the pool starts to meet the side. He confirmed the leak was not under the ladder. He also informed me Valley directed that I be billed for the repair. I was confused because the tear was not identified to be where originally thought but yet I was being billed after spending a decent amount of money on a brand new pool. Not to mention, my liner is now compromised.
I called Valley management back the next day to question why I was being billed for the diver services and why the liner was not under warranty. I requested a report from the diver Valley recommended, which was not provided at the time the service. Anthony confirmed he would get me a copy. A few weeks went by and I never heard back. Only when I followed up twice within those few weeks, did I get a response.
In the end, I was informed that nothing could be done because there was no proof of manufacturer default.
It is disappointing that the pool products are not backed after purchase. Unfortunately, my experience was not a very good one. Valley attempted to work with me but the result would end with additional costs...
Read moreHaving used this company for the installtion of my fiberglass pool in 1995 I assumed that, like anyother business,it has went through it's changes of ups and downs. Again let me clearly state that throughout the last 27 years I have used them besides the installation of my pool with fair to above average results. This time I called about a price for a pool heater, installation and a pool chemestry contract as well as some much needed hardscape repair on a 27 year old pool. I received no call back as of this wrting and only a simple text expalining to me that they were "booked with pool contracts" but someone would "call me soon" regarding my other reqests. That call,as I reqested come from managment as I'm dumbfounded that this establishment cannot fullfill their customer's needs even when someone is trying to give them around $5000.00 in cash? I don even get a call? Guess the economy IS doing well since it seems no one there wants to help me or take my money. Think about that before you call or shop your hard earned money in a seasonal industry full of competition. I
I have decided to amend this review having spoken to the owner Anthony, who I have known for many years. He did call me back and while we didn't agree on a price I do realize that the industry and times especially this year have changed. No I'm not paying double for a heater I can buy on Amazon for half the cost but I get his point. He did offer the pool service contract and while I realize he was angry with the above review I did want to give the reader a fair side to every story. Valley Pools is a 'mom and pop' business in Hamilton for many years and I urge people to vist them. While everything has gone up in price recently and labor is at a shortage I understand his point and I appreciate him calling me back. Even if we...
Read moreI had a bad experience and after posting a critical review Anthony the manager called me and was very professional so I took the bad review down. I was directed to bring in a water sample and follow their directions on how to get the pool clean After a few weeks and almost a thousand dollars to open and treat the pool my pool was finally getting clear but, was still cloudy. I took another sample to them and they said to add chlorine. After doing so the water was better but, the deep end still was cloudy. I took another sample in and they told me to purchase an additional $60 in chemicals, (Flock) $85 on a vacuum and hose and to shut my filter off for two days. This caused my entire pool to go from cloudy to green. When I went back to them about the issue they sent someone out for service but, asked me to purchase even more chemicals to solve the problem they caused. They said it wasnât their fault and I should be happy they paid for the service tech to come out even though it didnât resolve the issue. I asked the tech if he would have advised we shut the filter off for two days and he said no and the manager Anthony agreed. But, still didnât think they should pay for the chemicals. I disagreed but, told them I wasnât going to argue. He said he would send the tech right back out to my house immediately. The tech (Robert) came and left with a water sample which he said he would call me with the results and come back tonight. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN and he ignored my texts messages. I already filed a BBB complaint and my sister in law works at the Attorney Generals office which is my next stop if this isnât resolved. I just received a quote from Valley for $3800 for a pool cover and was getting ready to give them that business as well. Needless to say I wonât be buying...
