Great Wall Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

We ordered lunch from here today and the shrimp were mushy in all orders of the shrimp w/broccoli and Mei Fun. I called to tell them the shrimp were bad and the man said everybody shrimp were from the same bag, so what do we want him to do and further proceed to tell me its our taste that were bad not the shrimp. I politely said you do not have to do nothing. If this is your attitude and customer service towards the people that spends money at your establishment you can keep your nasty food to yourself. I also sent an email to my coworkers who order from them often and told them what happen and several said they been stop ordering from Great Wall because the shrimp were no good and the rice tastes old. I had no idea since I don't order that often from this restaurant but never...again. Please be careful because the shrimp is hit or miss I guess and so is the customer service...just horrible. Do not bother ordering the popcorn shrimp appetizer. Atleast to me, they were nothing close to what I was expecting. They were well over done and not very appealing. The batter was hard and crunchy. Maybe next time I will try the fantail shrimp.

Outside of the popcorn shrimp order, everything else was delicious. The chicken & snow peas had fresh snow peas with a few carrots slices. The roast pork lo mein was equally good. In my opinion it could have had some more scallions/green onion slivers & other veg. I’ve been to places where the lo mein had a bit more varied vegetables. The black bean & beef had a good mix of vegetables (onion, carrot, mushroom). The beef was tender. The sauce of the black bean & beef seemed saltier than the other two dishes. (However, I think you’re ordering Chinese typically you aren’t worrying about sodium.) Since we ordered two dishes that were not noodles, we were given a large container...

Little place to food is good and great service all the time. Been eating here for years and never got any bad food nor bad service. Update 8-14-22 The owner of this place is always looking for good help. He hires them, they stay a few day, gone!! He and his wife are working so hard everyday and yet still the food I'd delicious as always. I always get good fresh vegetables in in dish I order. Wild waiting for your food, you see how fast and hard they work. I give this place not a 5 but a 10!! Please go check them out today.
