Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Hampton

I just had another horrible experience from the SAME associate. Unfortunately, he did not have on a name tag so I can only describe him by features. He is an older 60-70 ish, African American man with glasses salt and pepper gray afro standing about 5'4"-5'5". This second time he has treated me rudely. I go to this Ollie's usually weekly. This time I checked out about 10 items and apologized telling the cashier I forgot my wallet in the car. To which he abruptly locked his register and turned his back on me walking away to organize the carts. As a customer I felt completely insulted. He was OBVIOUSLY irritated. Thus giving me no instructions on whether he would hold the register or if I needed to re enter the line upon return. So I called to him and said what's up !! I mean is that okay?. He yelled at me saying I heard you!! I told him well you didn't say anything you just turned your back on me and walked away. This was truly Horrible rude service. Upon return I saw I was able to go over to his register to complete my transaction. Which he abruptly began LITERALLY tossing my items in my bag. I wanted to throttle this tiny man. How freaking rude came you be. Please please please put him in stocking or receiving he does not have the skills for face to face...

Went to Ollie's this afternoon and spent over three-hour shopping. It was a blast, so many items to view. It was not especially busy and the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The one complaint is relatively minor, but Ollie's put a "big 'ol" sign up about it, so they deserve some flack about it... Ollie's offers free coffee and put a large sign up saying " The pot is always on..." However, the pot may have been on but it was empty, there were no cups or suger either (they say "use 2 sugers, it's been a pretty good year!"). So the complaint, I advised an associate the coffee was empty and 3-hours later, it still was... But, we still had a great time shopping for a new rug and numerous snacks in the food section... One more note, not a complaint, just an observation. We looked at a pepper mill and noticed a US Flag tag on the box. The tag said, "Proudly filled in the USA", NOT MADE IN THE USA... The back the box said, Made in China... I've included a photo. It's not fraud, but it is misleading... YOU'VE...

Lady with red hair and glasses I’m guessing she was the manager was a complete b*tch. My fiancé and I walked in here at 8:30 looking through the isles quickly to try and grab things we might’ve needed. It turned 8:50 and the manager came onto the intercom telling all customers it was 8:55 and they close in 5 mins. But it was actually only 8:50. So she was 5 mins ahead of time. Then when we got to checkout the manager was rude to an associate trying to help us check out. Then she went on the intercom again claiming it was closing time when they still had about 5 mins and when a customer said that she had the wrong time she said “we go by our time here, not yours”. She was trying to rush everyone out before they even closed. Also the store was a mess, smelled like doodoo might’ve been the managers stank a$$ breathe. Will not be...
