The Tenth Inning — Local services in Hampton

Very poor customer service. I called before approaching the store and spoke with an older white lady. The woman in the midsts of us speaking, hung up in the middle of some questions I was looking to have answered before arriving. Upon entering the store, and getting down to business, I was told $150 was a worthy number for everything I brought in. I had over $700 in card wealth/value, and opposed to actually searching through any of the cards, she wanted to cut me off with her “fair offer”. My point to make is, that IS NOT how business is even remotely conducted. I’m not sure if she’s a fill-in for the owner, or maybe somehow connected otherwise; but she is bad for business, and definitely let some potential deal, go right out the window. I will never bring my business back, and would strongly recommend another card shop, that not only conducts better business; but is detailed oriented enough to make better decisions for an establishment pertaining...

This place takes advantage of people's lack of knowledge in the hobby. They over charged my sister and charged her 95.00 for a basic card that is selling for 2.00 everywhere. She purchased the card as a Christmas present for me and it still had the price tag on it. I was shocked that they are thus untrustworthy. She was soo excited for getting this gift for me that I could not possibly dare to break her heart and tell her they price gouged her for not knowing the hobby. I'll hold the card forever because my sister got it for me and it was a sweet thing to do. I'm only livid about how the tenth inning in Hampton, VA took such strong advantage. I want to let the world know so more people that are trying to do something nice that may not know do not get ripped off. Dishonest people won't make it too far as a buisness. I'll wait while the trash...

MUST SEE! Every time I go to this place, which is 1-2 times a year due to travel… it is MAGICAL. Tons of cards and collectibles and I always find something. Last year I found a 1/1 Leaf Amon Ra St Brown Prismatic for $10!!!! This is not the only fairy dust this place has to offer though. The staff is amazing. Deborah, whom works the front desk is always beyond kind and knowledgeable. I look forward to talking with her each time I drop by. Thank you to THEE...
