my boyfriend and i came here twice and i’ve never felt such a hostile environment. The first time we came, we had to do laundry and i made sure to be out the door before this place closed so i didn’t disturb the tenant that’s doing her job but the attitude we received when we asked if she had a bathroom we could use because the sign on the door said no public restroom but we saw a bathroom available. Her smart remarks towards us were off putting and she went on to say well, you’re customers and gave us attitude about asking. We only asked because we didn’t know if it was an employees only bathroom so i ignored it because we did kinda ask a dumb question but you would expect to be greeted with some decency. We went on with finishing our laundry but the women starred at us the entire time and i felt uncomfortable. We were the one people in there but she made us feel very unwelcome. I understand that it was around closing but we did however leave with plenty of time for this woman to do her closing tasks and not become a problem. Well, we got a new stackable washer / dryer hookup recently and unfortunately, it’s messed up. We bought the part for it but we clearly didn’t want our stuff to get moldy because we had previously washed a few loads. We made the decision to return because it’s only 5 minutes away and it’s already becoming a huge mistake. We came in at 6:30 to 6:40 and set our stuff to dry with plenty of time to be out of this woman’s hair. 35 minutes and we’ll be out the door. Not even folding our laundry because I don’t want to be that person. My shoes had mud on them and i wasn’t aware and the attitude i received for “tracking it in” was unprofessional. She made me feel so belittled that i asked for a broom to clean up the dry pieces. I felt bad but there’s nothing i can’t do about the bottom of my shoes when it’s been raining and snowing for a few days. She chilled out after i offered to help and even asked if we were okay if she vacuumed (i didn’t want to stop her from going home) but i already had my mind set on this review and to never return. I rather got to Brighton’s laundromat where i’ve never been spoken to like that. Even my boyfriend who usually says quiet was like wow, that...
Read moreHad a very unpleasant experience tonight. The tenant running this place seemed to be in such a rush to get me out tonight. I came at around 6 with my roommate, this joint doesn’t close til 8. She went on to ask after I sat down waiting on my washers if I was drying there or not, why would you even ask me that? I responded and she didn’t reply, was frowning the entire time, so I walked outside and sat outside the remainder of the time because she was just off putting. The same minute my washers were done she came outside to tell me so, and then said “you know we close at 8 right?” And mind you it was only 6:45 at this point, dryers only take twenty mins for our laundry, she was clearly very agitated that her final customer was still here. Then, she went on to say to my roommate that next time we need to tell her we have a light amount of dog hair in our blankets as she had to wipe the washers out from the minimal amount that was left behind accidentally and unintentionally, even though my roommate had wiped the drums out after removing our blankets. We always treat places like this with respect as if it’s our own laundry room, and I cleaned the dryer screens after use too which I’m surprised she didn’t have a problem with. Everything’s a problem to her. Very negative and unfriendly demeanor from this woman, and a bit hostile undoubtedly and you will never see the light of day from my wallet here ever again it’s simply unacceptable, just leave the customers alone, I’m not sure if she was the owner of this place but if she was she should know way better than that. The part about the dog hair was absolutely ridiculous, these machines probably never have cleaning cycles ran thru them, so what’s the point of complaining about a few hairs after my roommate wiped them out when it’s your job to wipe them out every night anyways? He certainly didn’t have to wipe them out as most people don’t, but we’re not those kind of people and it’s just ridiculous to say something to us after he had already done his part to wipe out the little amount of hair left behind in the drums, have a little respect for your customers cause you...
Read moreNEVER DO LAUNDRY HERE AGAIN! As the lady running the show is very rude! I have been here twice. First time arrived at about 735 pm. The same lady here, as second visit, the woman spent 10 minutes reading me the riot act about why I did not arrive before 730 pm? She went on to say that she was not allowed, by the owner to let anyone start laundry after 730 pm. She was extremely rude in the way she spoke to me! I told her that I would wash only and dry at home! Second time arrive 730 pm and she repeated the same diatribe? She also complained on both occasions that she had cleaned all the machines and did not want anyone coming and messing those up! From what I observed her do, cleaning amounted to spraying top of machine and wiping, proping open detergent with clothes pin! Which took all of 2-4 minutes to do all 4 machines I used! On both occasions she was out of the place no later then 8:15pm. I understand her concerns of not wanting to be held up after her closing time ect.. I can not deal with snarling rude attitude! I like so many of us have things that hapoen behond my control and can not always be at the laundry mat with adequate time to finish before the business closes Also! Also if no one is allowed to start laundry after 730 pm. Post it in the front window, advertise on Google maps ect... My guess is she is lying, and being rude to get me to leave! Well it worked I will never do laundry here again, and will tell as many as I can of the rude old witch at Kate's Laundry that says the owner does not want you to do your laundry there if it is going take you...
