ALDA Aesthetics — Local services in Hanover

The building is gorgeous and clean but overall won’t be returning. I told the woman doing it that I had gotten 24 units of Botox previously (which is safe and reasonable dosing) and I loved that on me and wanted to get the same thing done today and she was very upfront with the cost but assured me that I needed 42 units and when I asked to do less, she said no and I need to trust her and didn’t inform me of any other approach other than doing 42 units. She said 42 units was basically the standard dosing they do at a minimum. So I do feel as though that should be well advertised on the website that there is typically a minimum of 42 units.

And then I was extremely confused about this huge box of skin care products they gave me. It didn’t look like I was charged for them, but it was just extremely confusing because I was never asked what my current skincare regimen is. I’m using a medical grade skincare regimen from someone who does my facials and I was never asked about what I’m currently using on my skin and I was just told that I need to use theirs. There was no explanation on what those specific products will do other than make my skin look good. I heard her saying the exact same thing to the client before me as well. The whole place just seemed very money focused and for anyone looking to get into botox for the first time I would say this is probably not the place for you. You’ll probably end up with more than wanted and if you have somewhat of a budget in mind I would be wary of starting out here. It was uncomfortable to say no seeing as though I was already sitting in the chair and did come for Botox. I truly hope this is helpful feedback for the business and for any future client. I’ve been going to Alda for about a year. I started thinking a few facials before my son’s wedding would be a quick fix. I wasn’t someone who necessarily bought into the whole skin care regimen. I am of a certain age, where baby oil and foil in the sun was “a thing.” I have 1000% bought into it this last year, I started off slowly with hydra facial’s and have expanded to different treatments including the ZO skin care line that has been amazing. The entire team at Alda have educated and guided me to a plan that works for me. Never pressure to buy products or do unnecessary procedures. At one time or another I received treatment from all the aestheticians and nurses and the results, professionalism and guidance has been a game changer in my overall appearance. They work as an incredible team that customers benefit from. My skin has never been better! I came to Alda in need of a few things — nursing my sensitive skin back to health, a path to clear and even toned skin, and simplifying the products I was using. I saw Brooke and she’s been amazing guiding me on this journey. Since my very first appointment I felt she’s had my best intentions in mind — listening to my concerns and goals, educating me on my skin and products along the way. I’ve since been going monthly for a hydra-facial and have purchased some new products and couldn’t be happier with the results. It is not inexpensive to invest in skincare procedures or products, but I have found it worth it here at Alda with the level of personal attention you receive…after all, skincare is not one size fits all.
