We went to play tenpin for a family members birthday for his first time. The three of us were told by the girl with blond hair and glasses all the tenpin lanes were reserved for people coming in 30 minutes from now and we can use candlepin. I joked and said with a smile "aw man all of the lanes.. is there a tournament going on?" But she just looked at me straight face and slightly rolled her eyes, turned to the shoe wall and asked us our shoe size. There was one tenpin lane being used at the time and their group left shortly after we got there. We played 3 rounds of candlepin with no one else bowling on this side for about 2 hours, ordered food & drinks, and the whole time we were there, about three small groups of 2-4 teens showed up an hour after we did, and went over to tenpin without any problems. We figured they were part of the "reservations" for that side and we're running late. After as we were waiting to pay to leave we noticed that not even half of the tenpin lanes weren't being used, never mind all of them. So why did that girl tell us we couldn't use that side when the place never filled up at all on tenpin side in the 30 minutes - 2 hours we were there. I tried getting her attention to ask her as she was walking out of the back office behind the register, but she was in the middle of talking about the schedule to her older employee saying he had to come in the next day but she didn't. She looked at us standing there waiting to pay and then walked away to the tenpin side. A guy then came running over from food station and rang us out after he saw her ignore us. I'm guessing she was having a bad day. So idk why we were told no, we couldn't use the tenpin when half of the lanes were never used in the two hours we were there and told they were all reserved for ppl in 30 minutes from when we arrived. So all in all, we could of used a tenpin lane, but we never got to. The food was the best thing about our experience that day, unfortunately the customer service part wasn't. This was not our first time here, but it was our first bad...
Read moreI had the worst experience there last night. After spending over $150 there Valerie the so called manager shut our game off before we were finished with our 10 strings due to the league needing our lane. We were a family of 5 with younge children. We were never told there was a time limit on our game and there was only 3 cars in the lot when we pulled in. The league was very rude speaking about my children and how they spilled water on the floor. This old woman told every person in the league about the water on the floor. I simply told the woman that I could hear her speaking and it was extremely rude. Valerie told me that I yelled at the league, but never addressed that her poor mangent skills at directing her staff to properly clean up the ice and water with a mop and a wet floor sign. This was the root of the whole problem. I asked for a refund for her shutting off my family's game. She flat out refused and walked away from me when I was trying to explain the situation. She needs to be taught how to desculate situations and rectify problems. I will never go there again and will make sure I spread the word locally on how disgraceful the womans bowling leagues behaves and how poorly the Boston Bowl...
Read moreI literally cannot say enough positive stuff about this place. This was my first time ever going to this particular location and they really impressed me. I had my son's birthday here and he had the time of his life. Luigi the manager was so kind from all my interactions with him over the phone and in person. Every person employed here that I spoke to was always very kind. I never once felt like I was bothering them or not wanted there. This is refreshing when customer service is so severely lacking these days.
Our party host (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name!) she was so sweet and attentive and took care of everything. I just really appreciate the entire staff of this place. The food was fresh and delicious. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of everything. Even the bathroom was clean and smelled really nice. Our designated party room was very spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend having your child's party here if they're into bowling. The day started off shaky with the weather and people backing out of the party but it ended on a great note. Thank you Boston Bowl Hanover for an unforgettable birthday for...
