I just drove 35 minutes to come to THIS location because I have always preferred the service with the employees and selection of merchandise.
I am a person with disabilities and have always brought my therapy dog with me. She would ride in the cart, never making a sound or disturbing anyone as she is trained to be this way.
Today, however when I came, I was met by Kathy at the door who refused to allow entrance to the store with her (my therapy animal) in the cart.. I explained that I have been coming here for a long time with her and it's never been an issue.
She was very indignant and brash. "Would you like to read the sign?" So, I walked with her to the sticker on the door that read only servic animals are allowed. I explained she was a working dog.
She forced me to go outside of my normal routine, which sent me into a panic attack. The whole thing could have been avoided.
This location does not support or show empathy to those of us suffering from an invisible illness.
I have at least 6 other stores that are closer to me but I have always chosen to make the drive to here.
Never again.
If you are a person with disabilities, regardless if you have a service animal or not. Please reconsider your choice on where to shop.
This store does not care about people with disabilities.
I will take my business...
Read moreWhat is the point of placing an order for pick up 7 hours in advance, being told everything is ready for pick up 3 hours before, then showing up to get the order and waiting over half an hour for them to bring it out. This is the second time I have wasted over half an hour sitting in my car for a pickup order that was supposed to be ready. I could have done the shopping myself in 10 minutes. Why even offer this service? One time, shame on you. Two times, shame on me for thinking things might go differently. I usually do most of my shopping here but no more. I am done with wasting my time. I am deleting the app and never looking back. Absolutely horrendous customer service starting from the store manager down. You cannot keep using the “aww but we are short staffed” excuse everytime it is convenient. Hire more people. Put more people on the schedule. Or do not offer these services. And to add onto that, it is glaringly obvious the non-management employee’s are stressed and unhappy in their workplace because of this. I know this is management stretching an already thin staff even thinner across the store to get a better bonus at the cost of treating their employees and customers this poorly. Maybe give management’s bonus to the employees instead since they’re the...
Read moreHave you always wanted the experience of ringing up and bagging all your itens at checkout, without the reward of being compensated for your efforts? Meijer is the place for you.
No matger if you have 7 items or 70, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor that you'll have to self checkout. It doesn't matter if there are a few people checking out or wait times that rivals rides at Six Flags- they're not going to have more than one person working a register unless it's a blue moon and they have 2, jackpot!
Feeling a bit intimidated by all this? Don't worry, while you're working om bagging your 57 items and other customers look on frustratingly, there will be plenty of Meijer employees standing directly in front of the self checkouts doing nothing other than stare at you. What are these people being paid for? What possible use are they? Who knows, who cares, get to work bagging your groceries, scumbag.
This place is absolutely horrible, and if it weren't so annoyingly close to my home I would shop anywhere else. Automation for self checkouts isn't a bad thing, but there should still be an option to get your groceries scanned and bagged by an employee. Half the people operating self checkouts move at the speed of snail. You are awful Meijer,...
