The Laundry Room — Local services in Harlem Township

Went camping at Rock Cut State Park, and at one point I needed to wash my stinky outdoor clothes. I looked up a laundromat near me, and "The Laundry Room" popped up, I seen that it had 4.5 star review so I read some of the reviews and the good reviews about it are the truth. I never thought I would give a review on a laundromat, but in my 53 years I've never seen such a clean, well kept, well priced laundromat in my life. I didn't have to keep sticking quarter after quarter into the dryers. It had nice little seating areas with tables to sit at while you're waiting. It had two TVs running with no biased news channels. The bathrooms were immaculate. If you need just enough detergent for one load you could buy it at the counter for a very low price (they had several brands) also you could buy three dryer sheets for 50 cents in case you forgot yours or you didn't have any, and to top it all off the young lady looking after the place was very sweet, kind, and attentive. Time to try some place new, this is not the place anymore!

The last few months I’ve seen the best laundromat go to pretty bad. The employees all suck. They hired some new folks and they are all rude and do not want to do their jobs. The doors in the back have been locked 5-6pm when the sun is still up, and the sign says to dusk. After 7 pm when my laundry would be finished the sun is still up!!! When I asked they said it was for safety. If that’s the case the signage should be updated according to the new policies.

The machines use to be cleaned, no matter the day I come most seem to be covered in drips and lint and there was never an issue with water on the floor or messes sitting around for hours.

I hope the ladies that were here for years and ran things well didn’t go anywhere because these new ones aren’t it. This is the last time I will be doing my laundry here for a while. I’d rather pay more for quality. I don’t think this place is worth the price and distance of travel when I pass by a dozen or more...

Not only was all of the staff members, except for maybe two very rude when I would drop off and pick up my laundry, like they didn’t like the fact that they had to actually do something, But clothing came up missing. And I couldn’t ever prove it, but I swear I was missing things but now I know for sure because I’m missing a black dress. I called and asked, and the lady said that there’s no way that they could have it or any of the fellow staff members would’ve taken it. she didn’t ask for my name or number so that she could get back to me if it was found, or if she talked to others. no customer service. who knows it was probably her that took it. And I’m really upset because I have a funeral to go to tomorrow, and would really be great to have my black dress, but I don’t have it now, and that was the last place it was to get washed. $100+ Torrid...
