They close at 5:30pm on Friday. I called about 5:15 from Mears for a single 14mm nut to save my day of riding. Guy on the phone says yes we have them. I tell them ok I’ll be there right at 5:30. I walk through the door at 5:31 and they refuse to sell me the single nut that I need for my ATV’s swing arm bolt. I even offered to grossly over pay in cash and they could ring it up the next day and keep the change. Still refused. So I spotted an auto parts store down the road and at this point they have been closed for 15-20mins but I give it a shot anyways. I have shopped at this ACE Hardware for over 25 years and have found it to be a well stocked, helpful store. Unfortunately, I will not be back for awhile. Today, I went in and discovered that not a single employee was wearing a mask, although about 90 percent of the customers were. I think I saw at least 7 employees while there. I guess if they don't care about their customers health and safety enough to wear masks, then they really don't need my money. I went to the new Tractor Supply down the road and everyone was masked and required masks to enter. Masks were available if you didn't have one. Big signs on exterior doors advising of mask requirements. Guess that doesn't apply to employees. Outstanding selection of just about everything you may need. Don't like shopping there because of the very unfriendly staff. There's 1 or 2 that seem to understand customer relations but the majority are just plain unfriendly and seem to hate their job and dealing with customers. 5 star inventory selection, 0 stars...
