Been many times and have always loved their pizza and service. But unfortunately we chose Hart Pizza on the wrong day over memorial day weekend and saw their true colors. Unlikely to return.
We got our names on the list and walked around Hart while we waited for a table to open up. Sooner than expected we were on our way to a table. We were asked for our order before we received menus. Whoops! No big deal. Our server was very polite, perhaps even too polite.
The five of us ordered and were served our drinks and appetizers fairly quickly. Unfortunately we didn't get the ranch we twice asked for (once during ordering and another time after our cheese bread arrived) until the main entrees started showing up 20 minutes later. Again, it happens. Not that big of a deal. Strangely instead of a "whoops I'm so sorry that happened" we got an overly cheerful "thank you so much for understanding". It was strange but we've all had long days. Perhaps this was one of them.
Unfortunately four out of five of us got our food and had plenty of time to eat it before the only child of our group received her dinner. We were already being offered to-go boxes and to-go cups.
Apparently there was a "miscommunication." Again, this happens. It sucks but overall it's not a big deal.
For our troubles (really just my daughter's) we were offered a free soda. When we shockingly laughed at that the server left and came back offering "10% off." We assumed that meant our entire bill but instead that was off of the $15 entree that took over an hour to receive. Still, no apology from anyone.
That's the worst part. The manager couldn't be bothered to come talk to us for just a few minutes. Note that by this time the restaurant was half empty. No one ever took responsibility and apologized. We've all worked in the restaurant industry at some point and were flabbergasted by the $1.50 off, lack of manager presence, and instead of "sorry" we got an over the top cheerful "thanks!" that seemed fake.
Wife still tipped 20% because we've all had bad days. We don't blame the server. But we likely won't return due to managements...
Read moreMy family and I went to dinner at Hart Pizza tonight and we arrived just as they opened at 4pm. We ordered about 5 minutes later and got our bread sticks 10 minutes in. The problem with the service came when our pizzas did not show up until an hour and 20 minutes after we placed our order. We talked to the staff several times when 45 minutes had gone by and still no pizzas. We were very frustrated as we watch 9-10 people walk in and leave with boxes of pizza all in the first hour of them being open. My friend was one of those people, she called at 4:05, placed an order and picked her pizzas up at 4:30. The same time that my family and I should have gotten our pizzas.
We were not the only ones frustrated by this as two other small groups (4 people total in each) came in at the same time my family and I did. They also had to wait that long and once my family got our food, so did a majority of those people. Some of those people had to only wait 25 minutes for their food. It felt like the kitchen staff prioritized the call in orders over the people sitting in the restaurant which is stupid. All customers should be prioritized the same and orders should be made in the order they are received regardless of if it is a dine in versus a take out.
The food is good and it's a nice little restaurant, but the service tonight was terrible. Our waiter did a good job and helped get pizzas out quickly and even went to the kitchen to try and help get food out quicker. We left frustrated and it put a damper on our evening...
Read moreWorth the all 5 stars! Our server was great and even the trainee was sweet~. Opens at 4pm and gets busy pretty fast! But seemed like plenty of seats and served well! Pizza prices imo are even better than most other places when it comes to size and amount of toppings. Waiting time is just right too, to know your food is being cooked fresh while not waiting too long with inpatients. Menu even said main pizza ingredients are daily fresh made by them and use local ingredients!
We went to get pizza: but I got the Chicken Carbonara. It was sooo delicious and creamy~! It isnt what you think with traditional/smokey flavor Carbonara, but it was just as good- if not better! It was refreshing and herby tasting, using pesto which just went right with it! Bacon bits still added for some smoke-like flavor, and seemed cooked there as well!
My mom got the Chicken Street something Sub. It was simple, yet just as good with their bread and cheese~. Def poor the vinegar on a little! The chicken on both sub and carbonara was also not skimped out. There was plenty to just enough to not miss a bite without one!
Of course, we couldnt leave without trying the pizza too. We got one to go for dinner later, but we are sure it will be just as great because everyone else’s looked just as good! Highly recommend a visit if going...
