Lakeside Coffee, Smoothie & Bagel Bar — Restaurant in Hart

We would not come here again. The ladies at the counter were very nice but the one preparing drinks really, really didn't know what she was doing. The iced decaf latte I purchased was terrible, it's just cold pre-made coffee poured over ice and milk, and it tastes just like watered down coffee. My mom got a drip coffee and said it was also bad, just dark colored hot water. We asked for a breakfast sandwich and were told after it would be 15 minutes because the batch of eggs hadn't been made up for the day. I explained we couldn't wait that long because we were traveling and I would like just plain bagels and I was told it's not fast food and it would only be a 10 minute wait now. Went in this morning (8/28/22) to get breakfast for the family There was a "bathroom break" sticky note on the sign, so I waited. 5 minutes later, another gentleman walks in, and asks if I work there. I tell him no and he takes a seat. A minute or so later, the employee comes out and asks if we are getting food. The other guy says he wants a guest pass, and she immediately takes him to the office to take care of him. He pays, and goes to work out. Meanwhile another person comes up and asks loudly if anyone is working the counter. He's greeted with silence. 2 minutes later, the employee still hasn't emerged from the office. I ended up leaving for Biggby, where I was greeted immediately, instead of being ignored...

Started rehab exercises and decided to check this place out. The salads I get from here help me with my meal planning. The food is always very good. This includes the shakes that I have gotten here. They also cater to my gluten free need with a small variety of gluten free bagles. They are also handicap accessible.
