Our family was in town for vacation and we wanted to share a meal together. After researching local restaurants as we normally do when visiting in a new town, we came across this place and thought it looked like a nice place to have brunch. We walked in and after waiting some minutes before being greeted, we were told they were working on getting a table for us, or possibly a couple tables if they don’t have enough room for us all to sit together (which we were fine with). A few more minutes go by and what I assume was the owner (?) came out and told us we were “putting a hardship on their kitchen” and “his cooks wouldn’t be happy” to see such a large group of 10….1 of which is a baby and 2 kids. He said we would be putting a strain on their “small diner” and he’s going to have to see if he can even seat us. These comments took us aback and made us feel very unwelcome and certainly less excited to spend our money here. We try to support local businesses where we can and this type of service in a small town is disappointing. What kind of “small diner” doesn’t want business? This kind of service is sad to see and we took our business elsewhere. In fact, we called Charlie’s down the road and asked if they could accommodate us, to which they said “absolutely!” And had our table ready to go when we walked in with friendly service. If you don’t want to seat larger parties, you could have told us that when we first walked in and there are definitely more friendly ways to...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into the Pink Elephant Dinner, I knew I was in for a treat. The recent renovations really elevated the atmosphere — cozy, welcoming, and with just the right touch of charm that makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and modern flair.
The food was absolutely fantastic. The chocolate chip pancakes were a standout, perfectly nostalgic, and brought back the best kind of memories. Each bite was like a warm hug, with just the right balance of sweetness and fluff. Honestly, it was hard not to order everything on the menu because everything sounded so good!
The service? Impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, all while moving quickly and efficiently. I tend to be indecisive when there’s so much to choose from, but the staff didn’t rush me, making the whole experience even better.
Prices were spot on too — very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Overall, Pink Elephant Dinner offers a perfect blend of great food, fast service, and a delightful atmosphere. It’s clear that the place has been thoughtfully updated without losing its classic charm. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the...
Read moreBusiness owners can’t be bothered to update their hours, reflecting the fact that they’ve been closed. We drove all the way to the restaurant only to find out they’ve been closed with no date of return! This is absolutely bad business! We called to see if their voicemail could give us a better idea of what was going on, or when they would be opening again, only to be greeted by “this mailbox is full, goodbye”. When you own a business in a town where people vacation and frequently come to your restaurant from out of town, it probably makes a little bit of sense to keep your hours updated, closing times/ reopening times posted and your voicemail set up with posted hours/ close times. We were extremely excited to eat at this restaurant based on reviews, but unfortunately never got a chance to enjoy the food and probably never will. Please show some professionalism and pride in your business and fix the small issues that will make this...
