Quality Foods — Local services in Hartwell

Quality Foods is my favorite grocery store in Hartwell. It's just the right size to suit me. There are multiple cashiers ready at the check out along with baggers who never fail to offer help unloading my purchases into my car. No self check out. No bagging or boxing my own food. Just good old fashioned service. The best kept secret of this store, however, is the butcher. I can buy a large cut of meat at a great price per pound and they gladly custom cut and wrap it for me. The stockers are great as well and more than once have gone to the back to search for an item for me. As for the management they politely handle returned items and have even special ordered items that weren't available on the shelf! I’m taking my business elsewhere because the owners obviously don’t mind that it’s a Zoo in there at night with all teenagers working. Laughing, being loud and completely unprofessional. And you can count Gary as a teenager. Might as well be. I took my concerns to him and he laughed and asked me would I like to take the bag boy home w me! When what he should’ve done was made him apologize to me and assure me that this behavior wouldn’t continue. But he had an opportunity to fix the problem and he didn’t give a d*mn about my concern. Quality food has the best prices on meat. The quality of the produce is excellent. I personally shop there when I need to save money. They are definitely community oriented. They have weekly giveaways consisting of $50.00 prize, and 2 $25.00 prizes. They also have a monthly drawing on a lawnmower. The staff are always helpful and friendly. It's in a convenient location and the service is pretty quick. No standing in line for more...
