Casa Rica Family Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hartwell

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Hartwell. There are a few others here but they do not measure up to this one by any means. I do not eat Mexican food but my husband does, so when he wants Mexican I go along in the hopes of finding a good salad or burger on the menu. No luck until today when I went to El Parian and tried the cheeseburger. I was pleasantly surprised - the burger was very good and came with a generous side of fries. It was the first day for our server but he was very polite, thorough and attentive. When the wait staff was not busy taking orders or serving, you could see them all at the back of the restaurant scanning to see if the customers needed anything....rather than playing on their phones or just disappearing altogether. Of the three Mexican restaurants in Hartwell I think this one is the best I usually order the Guadalajara which is chilaquiles half-covered in beef and half covered in chicken served with a tamale and two tostadas one beef one chicken and topped with lettuce tomato guacamole and sour cream in your dish the juices from the tomatoes and the sour cream and the meats join in the bottom and you get a combination of half soft and flavorful and crispy tortilla chips and it makes for a nice combination of the meats I prefer the beef the best but the chicken is also good they also give you the two tostadas which are the rolled tacos one with beef in it one with chicken in it and you can dip it in your sour cream and guacamole Anatomy comes with it it's a pretty...

We decided to try this place based on the high ratings, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food was disappointing from the start. The guacamole dip had the texture of puréed baby food—completely lacking the freshness and chunkiness you’d expect. The cheese dip was no better—thin, watery, and more like a bland cheese soup.
