Horrific experience at the Hastings store. Due to a glitch with their software our data was lost regarding purchases and warranties. Original purchases of our wedding rings were made at the Kearney store. The six month check ups on our rings were not documented in their computer system, although we were assured they would be. The employee, Ben, at the Hastings store refuses to sign my documentation after checking my ring because of a lapse in dates even though the ring is fine. He was condescending and rude. The Kearney store, however, verified that yes, if the rings are in fine shape the documentation should be signed without hesitation. Originally, we were told that any Riddles Jewelry would have records, regardless. This is false. Riddles is attempting to revoke the life time warranty on our rings. It is true there was a gap in our 6 month check ins, but the store was closed during the pandemic, records were not kept up to date on their computer files, and they had a malfunction of the computer system which caused data loss. This is NOT how you treat customers who have made investments of jewelry with your store. I do not appreciate my husband, or myself, being treated in such a degrading fashion. This experience was unacceptable on every level and remains unresolved. Very poor business practice and an absolute waste of our valuable time. Also, Riddles will only warranty items that are checked at their stores. That's brilliant. Provide poor customer service, force a customer to go elsewhere, and then deny the warranty already placed on a ring. Dispicable. Read moreI took my mother’s ring in as I lost a birthstone. I was originally quoted $175.00. However, I got a call a few days later and was told some of the prongs needed to be replaced so it would cost me $225.00 total. I waited over 6 weeks and when I went to pick it up, the stone was wrongit was supposed to be a May stone and it came back with an August stone. Salesman tried to tell me I told them August, which is ridiculous as I know when my kids were born! They sent it off again but upon leaving the store, I told them I was quoted $225.00 and wasn’t going to pay any more as this was their mistake. Once again I waited over 6 weeks. Upon paying, I was told the total was $256.80. I said why so much and was told it was tax. I said that’s a lot of tax so I wanted a breakdown. He said he would get it for me after we finished the transaction. That’s when I saw the amount was different he said that’s what he had written down and wasn’t making any attempt to make it right. Read moreI brought in two watches to have them replace the batteries in both of them. They took time out of their day to try to repair both watches. Both of the watches had their batteries corrode inside. They were able to save one of the watches by cleaning The battery tray and install a new battery. But the second watch was too far corroded to be able to work again. The technician that was working on it was extremely helpful and was considerate of myself and was trying her best to help me.
