AlphaCare Urgent Care — Local services in Hattiesburg

Visited the Hattiesburg,MS location and will never go back. The nurse I saw was very friendly, attentive and personable. The (black) lady at front desk/intake lady - not so friendly. Why is this even the same person anyway??? She was already on a PERSONAL call when I came in. This call was on speaker and remained on speaker throughout my checkin, payment, and lobby wait. When she called me to the back- (because it’s the same person at the front desk) her body language and behaviors remained preoccupied and annoyed my entire time there. She seemed to have already been annoyed before I arrived and perhaps my arrival made her day just that more worst. How dare she actually have to “work” at work, right? Tuh.. She did not greet me when I walked in. Her annoyance seemed to have carried over into her customer service involving me. She came off as irritated and gave the impression that I was interrupting her from doing something else. Even though the ONLY thing she was supposed to do at that time, was her simply her job. I felt like I was a bother to her. Although I was informed by the nurse that I had to get bloodwork and other labs done, the order of this process was not explained so I did not know what to expect next. In she comes into the room saying nothing.. but walked straight up to me needle, alcohol swabs, and bandaids in hand ready to poke me without letting me know what I’m being poked for. She did everything rushed, with no ease, and in a “let me just hurry up and get her out my way” manner. I did not appreciate ANY of this and I hope this will be a teachable moment for her because her demeanor and body language was very unwelcoming, unapproachable, unfriendly and very unprofessional. Especially as a healthcare worker. Why was a sick patient treated like a bother? If sick patients are bother- then ms lady needs a new career path. Signed a patient who’s never returning only...

I had such a great experience at Alpha Care Urgent Care! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and quick. I saw April and she was AMAZING! I can’t say enough about her.
