I was super disappointed with my experience today. I placed an online order last weekend and selected to pick my items up in store. My order was a dress and a pair of pink sandals. Upon arrival to pick up my order, the clerk at the front desk asked if I needed to try anything on. I told her only the shoes. I tried the shoes on in front of her to which she saw that the shoe was actually too narrow for my foot and my foot wouldn’t go in the sandal. I asked if there was anyway that i could get a store credit since the shoes didn’t fit and wouldn’t fit regardless of size because of their width at the top. She responded with “the shoes were on sale so no”. Once I got back in my vehicle I checked my receipt because I knew they weren’t on sale when I purchased them. I then called the store back and advised the owner of my issue and expressed that the item wasn’t on sale and could I bring them in for a store credit. I expressed that I didn’t need money back but that it was solely due to the fact that I have no purpose for this shoe since it simply doesn’t fit at all. She was willing to do nothing other than give me a very smart remark that their policy is “final sale on all accessories including shoes”. I wasn’t aware of this but did go and view this on the website. I was not asking for an exception to the rules but a kinder more graceful response would have been appreciated. I felt that there was little to no consideration for her customer. One who is actually very loyal. I love shopping here and have spent hundreds of dollars here, it’s a go to boutique for me. I expressed that to her. It hurts me that she’s willing to risk a loyal customer over $40 shoes. That tells me something about character. I was shocked she wouldn’t even allow or offer an even swap with something else like earrings of the equal amount so I’d actually have something I could use. After all , she’d never be out the $40. I NEVER requested my money back. It’s not about the money but about the moral of this and how she responded. It wasn’t impressive and unfortunately I’ll never be back which is sad because I loved...
