My rating is subjective to the day we went and the fact we currently have a toddler. I thought I'd heard there was a park here, and restrooms, but all we found were porta potties. The beach was also pretty tricky to find from the parking area. Surf was high today so it wasn't very good for swimming or snorkeling (except for experienced people, surfers, and locals). We did see three turtles and some fish which was exciting. We found a nice secluded area for our toddler to play. It had even been blocked off with rocks which created a nice sheltered area protected from the surf. There was a heiau (temple) on the beach, so there is lots of history. There is a sandy white beach is off the beaten path, and worth any extra effort to get there. We were thankful to see visitors respecting the turtles' space while they were munching on the algae. Remember it's illegal to approach, touch, or harass the turtles in any way.
