This was a great tour! We toured Hilo and Volcano National Park with 9 people in our group. We started at the Japanese garden, then through old Hilo and up to Rainbow Falls. Next we drove up Mauna Loa where we got to walk through a lava tube and look out over the massive Kilauea caldera. We visited steam vents from the Volcano and stopped at the Volcano House gift shop. After the gift shop, we went down the mountain where we toured new Hilo and visited the Big Island candy factory where got free samples of cookies, candy, and coffee. Our last stop was the black sand beach which was very scenic. The very best part of our tour was our driver/tour guide, Kimo who was a lifelong Hilo resident. We went to a Asian garden, rainbow 🌈 falls, Fern Acres coffee, stopped at the Kamehameha the great statue, Volcano national park 🏞, an orchid 🌸 garden, a Macidamian nut store, & Richardson black sand park. Our driver was very friendly and informative throughout. He knew so much about the island, it history and cultures. (bonus) The excursions that were offered on the ship were way more, but I’m sure this was just as good...

He was also an excellent photographer for us all and knew where all the money shots were! If you go, ask for Alex! We took the...
