I was given my husband’s grandmother’s ring for my engagement set. Through three generations, this ring has been loved. However, it needed some minor repairs. My husband and I had been to a few jewelry stores around Hilo and we were recommended to stop by Thundering Seas. What an incredible recommendation! Upon walking in we were greeted with such kindness. Our questions, concerns, story of how the ring came to be was so thoughtfully heard. We were given three different options to choose from and all within reasonable pricing. It did take about 4 weeks, in-house and on island (which was our main concern), and the results were incredible. I was speechless seeing my ring again. It looked almost brand new!! Still carries the same essence from when my husband’s grandmother had it, just with a little bit more structure and support. My school watch needed a new crystal and wrist band. Upon checking the watch, the jeweler found the face and mounting were improperly manufactured and the date mechanism was not working. They spent many hours trying to repair and eventually replaced the movement and back plate to get it working properly. Thundering Seas refused to accept payment for all their hard work, except for the replaced crystal and band, claiming they were responsible for the delay and not fixing the problems sooner. You won't find integrity and service like this anywhere...only place to go for repairs and...

I took my watch to thundering seas to get my battery changed. The process was easy and thorough. I usually don’t write reviews but either my eyes are playing tricks on me or they went above and beyond during the service of my watch. From new (purchased elsewhere) the clarity of my watch seemed to have a light haze on inside of the glass. When I got my watch back from thundering seas, I was shocked to have noticed the glass was clearer than it was new. If they did indeed clean it, it was a very nice gesture that’s very much appreciated. Thank you
