Hilo Ice Shave — Restaurant in Hawaii

I had a great experience at Hilo Ice Shave! I took my daughter here and we each got a regular cup (the smallest size) with the scoop of ice cream for a dollar extra. They had tons of flavors and toppings to choose from as well as a machine that lets people make their own shave ice and add whatever flavors they want themselves. For two regular cups each without an ice cream, our total came to around $10.

The staff is also really awesome, they saw us eating outside the shop on the bench and one of the employees came out with a couple fist size snowballs and let my daughter throw them into the parking lot and pretend to be Elsa from Frozen with ice powers. Totally...

The shave ice here was generous and priced very well. The service was exceptional. Our group of 7 stopped in just 12 min before closing (and another couple came in just after us). It wasn’t lost on us that we were just making it in before they closed. Despite that, we were greeted with a smile and friendly service.
