J/O Cigar Lounge — Local services in Hawthorne

I stumbled across this place with a friend because the place I normally go to was closed on a snowy day. My first experience was excellent it is very nice in there attention to details with the design is awesome, ventilation, coffee bar, everything. Additionally, there were two very nice ladies running the lounge and their customer service was great, very friendly.

However, I returned on a separate occasion and there was a younger guy forgot his name but he was probably mid to late 30’s and had a beard. This time around was a much different experience. As soon as I walked in to pick a cigar from their selection he came flying over and just stood there staring at me and my friends without saying a word whereas the woman greeted us and made a cigar recommendation which turned out to be great.

After smoking our cigars, I come to find out this guy charged me and my two friends $15 on our bill for cigar cutting fees and what bothers me is I was trying to cut the cigars on my own and he insisted on cutting them for us. I didn’t see a sign or anything and it just felt like a money grab. I just want people to be aware of this because the way it was done was just very sneaky.

If you can avoid that from happening to you from reading my review it will have served its purpose because other than that experience with this guy, this place is great and it pains me to do 3 stars instead of 5 but going to cigar lounges is something I enjoy very much and never experienced...

Amazing place to smoke cigars with a cool, friendly and professional staff. J0 cigars has exceptional hospitality! I been here 4 times already since they opened back in December 2021 and all i can say is i never walk out disappointed! The owner constantly adds new attributes to the business to make sure the place is offering the best service , variety and top of the line cigars. Very classy cigar lounge. Wouldn’t even expect it from the surrounding area. Selection is decent and prices are on the higher side but not outrageous. I thought the service was very good. Came on a Sunday afternoon so there was just a few people in and out. The employee, Elbia even asked me if I have a preference of music which I thought was great. I will definitely return when I’m in this area again. I’d prefer this place more as opposed to the nearby, casa de montecristo.
