I am giving it 1 star (wanting to give it none) because the daughter was very nice and helpful. My wedding was not for a year and a half from the date I went in and tried dresses on. The daughter was helpful and let me try on many dresses which I appreciate and nice durring the process but all of a sudden the mother comes in and starts telling me how it is "pointless" and not necessary to try dresses on that far in advance. I tried explaining how I am paying for the dress myself so I need time to pay for it. Yet she continued to non stop push how it was completely unnessecary to be trying those dresses on. That just made my mood go from really high and happy to nothing. She ruined the experience for me and from stories I have heard it was not the first. If you are in need of trying on dresses that are size 10 and up this is also not the store for you. Most dresses were sizes 4 and 6 and a few size 8. I wear a size 8 and barely got into some of the 8's which is understandable for the style. Yet I could not try that style on because they only had a few size 10 in a different style and a size 14. Which I do not understand because the ladies who own the store are bigger ladies (at least a size 14) I have heard stories of bigger girls feeling horrible after going there due to the fact that they have only small dresses. I decided to go to pure elegance bridal right down the road and the experience was 1000 times better!!!!! She completely understood my predicament and was more than willing to let me try on many dresses and I even found the one! I would and will NEVER recommend going to cupids corner. This has to be one of the worst bridal shops we have ever visited. We did find a dress there but we informed her that we were going to go look in colorado also. She told us that we had to put $200 down to hold the dress because they would not be able to hold it if someone else were to want to buy it. We told her we werent for sure and she said that she would refund us if we chose to purchase one in colorado. She EVEN GAVE US THE STYLE NUMBER TO LOOK FOR THE SAME DRESS THERE TO SHOW OUR FAMILY. So we ended up buying a dress in colorado and when we came back to get our refund she told us that all sales are final and that she could not refund us for anything. She said that she only gives refunds if its within a week of when they put the deposit down and she was absolutely terrible to talk to from there on out. Very rude and disrespectful. She even said that we never told her about colorado!!! We are currently filing a small claims case against them. Review based on two experiences at cupids corner both of which were scheduled appointments and horrible experiences. They are consistently rude and condescending, only caring about guaranteed sells and even then still remain unpleasant. Overheard one employee tell another "this is a no sell" just because an outside dress was wanted to be brought in to compare to favorable dresses in their stock. Indeed a no sale. First experience involved of course their rudeness and claims by them that dress was not paid for when in fact it was. They also have little knowledge of their own inventory or willingness to help find a desired dress. For someone who is picking out attire for a special occasion and wanting the dress shopping to be a special occasion as well, one that is memorable; do not shop here.
