STEREO BASE is the Best!
I am a car aficionado and recently purchased a classic Lexus SC 430 hard-top convertible. I soon discovered I was joining a cult-like club of fellow owners who are also passionate about the 430. Although the stock Mark Levinson sound system with 10 speakers was exceptional, I wanted to upgrade to a more updated multi-media system with an App based HD tuner, CD/DVD, Bluetooth, Waze ready with Apple Car Play, etc., so as to enhance the outdated Navigation system. In addition, I wanted to add a Back-up camera.
I’m a perfectionist, and in researching the Lexus blogs on the SC 430, I learned about all the trials & errors which many owners were happy to share about upgraded their sound systems. It seems the problem with this vehicle is they have so many luxury features packed into such a small vehicle, it’s very difficult to work on. As such, many stereo installers refuse to work on this car. So, I researched the best sound system installers in No. CA., narrowed it down to four, and met with them. It was here where I met Shams, the Manager of Stereo Base.
Shams was the different from the others. Yes, he was a wealth of product knowledge, and whether you are looking for a basic sound system, alarm-security systems, tinting products, speakers, amplifiers, or assembling high end multimedia systems, he knew what he was talking about. Moreover, he knew about installations and introduced me to Stereo Base’s Technical Install team, who had installed a number of complex systems in other SC 430’s. I was impressed! Yet, what made Shams stand out from the others was he was a professional, who took the time to ask probing questions and listened to identify my needs. He didn’t try to “up-sell” with me a product I didn’t need, but rather patiently explained the differences from one product to another. He even came out to my car and listened to my existing system and said your Mark Levinson system sounded great and there was no need to replace the speakers or the amps. Thus, he informed me I really only needed a new receiver and a back-up camera, and recognizing I was someone who is detail oriented, narrowed things down for me and recommended I look at a couple of different receivers and cameras. So, after a couple of hours of “picking his brain” he encouraged me to go home, research these products and narrow them down to the ones I preferred, and if I wanted them to do the install, he could work me into their schedule later next week.
After interviewing these four stereo shops, Stereo Base was the clear winner. For they are a family business which Sham’s Dad had started over 20 years ago, they are professional, honest, their prices are competitive, and they have an experienced install team who has worked on unique cars before and knew how to do it. But most of all what is special about Stereo Base is they take the time to get to know their customers and they work hard to do the job right and to exceed each customer’s needs. They are a company who works hard to earn your business for life. Without question, Stereo Base is the only shop I will go to whether it’s for one of my cars, boats or even if I buy a motorcycle or an RV in the future.
So, whether you are just looking for a good deal on products for your car/truck which you’ll install yourself, or want them to install a tint; new speakers; alarm-security system; front, rear or side cameras; an inexpensive sound system; or even a complex multi-media system in your vehicle, Stereo Base it the place to go in the Bay Area! I am so pleased I met Shams, as he is now a friend for life; and after visiting their store, I’m confident you’ll be...
Read moreI first went here about a year ago to have my inlock device installed. Then I started inquiring about how to upgrade my system. I was given very precise and knowable information on my options. First segment was the bass, they installed a Kicker dual 10' subwoofer with amp (Alpine) and it was great. install was quick and factory install quality, no wire seen just absolutely professional. They take apart your car seemingly they follow the factory wiring harness. I was dumbfounded by the experience and passion in there work.
Second segment (1 year later) was giving me that crisp sound one likes to hear like the high notes and frequencies . They installed another amp (Alpine) and line output converter which directly interface with my existing head unit. Again I saw my car during install ...Yup...I was like OMG!!, installing this segment was much involved because they had to deal with my "Starlink" emergency service so it took a bit longer (i picked my car up first thing next day, I told them take your time no worries) but Stereo Base said that is going to work. and it does. My system is exactly how I wanted it to be a year ago!
I recommend Stereo Base to any who wants a professional install. I will say, they are not a cheap operation, its take a bright shinny penny but they will not break your bank. They have financing options which I have used both times.
They also tinted my windows while the subwoofer system being installed, how they did that I do not know. They tinted the back three and we all know technically one is not supposed to get the front 3 tinted but lets not go there. The price was exactly what I expected.
In conclusion, I recommend Stereo Base 100%. Stop by, just have a talk, talk to Junior. I am so happy, I finally got an excellent sound system with high quality equipment, and I am still to buy gas and feed my cats....
Read moreI was standing in line and watched these two men handle a customer's concern with such grace and compassion that I was moved to take their photo for a review. I have never done anything like that before. It is so rare to watch people listen to each other, to care for each other, and to show what really matters: empathy. I knew that I was going to have no problem when I approached Junior and Sharif. I was so moved by the way they handled Monique, whom I've never met, that I went to Taco Bell and got a box of tacos for them and the guys in the back. The guy that worked on my car was named Ahmed, but I think his nickname might be Yama. LoL. After he worked on my car, he came out of the garage explained what was different, explained what was wrong, explained how they fixed it and I was impressed. From start to finish this business was a masterclass in how you treat customers. I was shown the utmost respect and all of my concerns were listened to, and resolved. If I ever have anything done to my car, I will come back to stereo base because I know, no matter what, these men will take care of me. Junior, is a shining example of professionalism. If I was an entrepreneur, and if I was going to open a business, I would want this young man to head up all responsibilities and all tasks. I would sleep well at night knowing that I would have to worry about nothing and that my customer base would be taken care of. I am writing this because life doesn't usually allow such a bright shining star to keep glowing.
Shine on, Junior. Shine on, Sharif. You already shiny, Ms. Monique, you...
