This place is a bountiful cornucopia of incompitence, laziness, dereliction, and rudeness. If you are a masochist or a glutton for punishment, the USPS in Hazlewood, MO is going to be your Disneyland. I not so recently bought something on ebay from some poor soul that obviously has no choice but to deal with them. My package was tracked straight to there, where it was either relocated into someone's pocket or placed into a transdimentional worm hole never to be seen again. For the first few days I thought maybe there was a glitch in their computer system or the weather had impeded delivery times. By day 11.5 I was tired of waiting so I tried calling them. This place sucks so badly they won't even answer the phone, you get a voice mail asking you to leave your info and they say you will be called back. Guess what, they didn't. So, on day 12.5 I called again and repeated the exact same process. 2.5 hours later I get a call back and the person so obviously inconvenienced by having to return my call let me know that: My package was actually not sorted at the location the tracking number leads to, but rather, at a secret mystery location elsewhere in Hazlewood, MO. And They would not give me the phone number to the location (this was told to me before I could even ask for it). However, all hope is not lost. The person told me that she had passed on my information to someone there and maybe they would get back to me. So here I sit in limbo waiting for some supervisor at a USPS black site to wake up from their mid-morning desk nap and call me so I can be innondated with more excuses. What an awesome way to conduct business. Do yourself a favor, if anything you purchase will be routed through the St. Louis MO area, you are better off going through UPS, FedEx, DHL, courtier pigeon, or just have them tie it to a helium filled balloon and let it go, you will get your package a lot sooner with those choices than you ever will dealing with the USPS in...
Read moreWe needed passports to go on my daughters Make A Wish trip. 3 of us applied for passports and had our pictures taken at this location in late April. John took our pictures & applications. He was wonderful! My oldest son came here on May 8 to get his passport taken care of. John was off on this day. Stephanie helped us but seemed aggravated since it was a little after 4pm. My son came straight from work and we did the best we could to be there by 4. She took his picture and completed the application process. She was not friendly but not mean. Just seemed annoyed. On June 18 I received a letter saying my sons passport picture was invalid & needed retaken. I found a post office close to his work & he met me on his lunch break. I had the receipt showing we’ve already paid for the picture. (I also had the letter) I was told since the picture wasn’t originally taken at their location I would have to pay again. After arguing the point I finally gave up and said fine. I just needed to get it done. However, when I went to pay a manager came out & waived the fee. I was very appreciative. I asked to expedite the passport but was told I could not. I mailed the letter & new picture before leaving the post office. I included a note stating this was for a Make A Wish trip. My son called 2 weeks ago, on a Monday, and was told it would be here that following Friday. We paid to expedite it. Which shocked me that this was an option still since I was told it was not. The woman put in notes that we were leaving July 29. (Actually leaving today, July 31. She hoped it would speed up delivery) Well his passport is still not here & our flight is at 1:25 today. My daughter is very upset, as are the rest of us. It’s looking like he will not be able to go on his sisters Make A Wish trip. If Stephanie would’ve taken a few minutes to make sure his picture was correct NONE of this would...
Read moreTHE WORST!!! Good luck on getting someone to answer the phone and if they do then you will be pawned off to someone else that is not even in that city! The other crappy part to all of this is that if your post office is in another city they will just tell you that they have NO phone numbers and they can not call information. WHO CALLS INFORMATION ANYMORE THESE DAYS, HELLO JUST USE THE COMPUTER SITTING IN FRONT OF YOU. The kicker is when I checked status of my package it said and still does say that it will be delivered on the 16th, today is the 20th. Still waiting for the delivery. Status shows that it arrived on the 12th in Hazelwood, MO. and is ready to depart on the 13th. It came from another MO. post office on the 11th. but it still sits in Hazelwood, MO. post office and has never left and no one seems to know what happened or where it went. Word to the wise, if you are purchasing something make sure it does not hit this post office. Best advise just use another form of shipping. I would not give a star at all but I have no choice. This is one gift that will not make it under the tree. May God Bless Everyone and have a...
