Bigsky Computers — Local services in Henderson

New to Henderson, picked BigSky from Google, called first, guy told me to bring in my laptop, he'd give me a free quote. My laptop's problem was freezing whenever and wherever it wanted to. Dave checked for overheating, nope. He showed me how he tested the hard drive of a different laptop and after 2 min., got a pretty green check mark! Then he tested my laptop. :( It wouldn't even start the test, got a big red X mark. In the end, it was $40 for a lower level hard drive. Dave charged me $75 for labor to take all my files off first, change the hard drive, put everything back and update me to Windows 11. In 24 hours it was done. It works fantastically now! I recommend you go see Dave with your IT problems!!! Just like a good mechanic, our family has a computer doctor! ...

Went down there today, as a pretty experienced PC manipulator, with the issue of thermal throttling. David took the time to hear my issues and considerations (which is rare). While talking he suggested I replace the fans regardless, tho working, as he suspected they might be underperforming. Boy did that slap my brain into 'duh dumbass, you run your laptop at an angle and the fans went off balance about 2 months ago' low and behold added a laptop chiller pad 70% better as I suspect the fans in the chassis are restricting, not to mention not in the most effective position on the chiller pad.

Regardless of outcome or ability to help directly, 6\1 star.

Big sky was awesome .they explained everything that was good and bad about my laptop and why it was having issues and how exactly how they would fix it. I took in my laptop at they end of the business day and got a phone call to pick it up a in the early afternoon the next day which was very quick.I took in my Hp stream 14 in which cost only over $200 so I didnt want to pay much for the repair or I would get a new one. He said it sounded like something simple and gave me a great estimate within my price range.I would recommend this place to friends and family or anyone really great prices ,great knowledge and excellent customer service.
