Horizon Cafe at Skyline Hotel & Casino — Restaurant in Henderson

What can I say it's like coming home, back in the day when my wife was alive we would hit the casino. When she past away and covid hit I need a change I took off for the Midwest. Untill the trip back. And I must say they do not disappoint.... The room is fitted nicely plenty of room for me and my fur babies. And the soap and shower dispenser smells awesome. And I love the fact when you walk into the room for the first time the air was on awesome!!! After everything we went through this trip with heat stroke and loosing my Stewie to heat exhaustion. It was a pleasure indeed....... If you want the old school feel of Vegas with f a modern touch, Hands down I'll take this place all day long. Coming back was a nasty trip but in the end before I go back it was a welcoming site. Thank you for everything and the staff is most helpful friendly and excepting and you got to do the prime rib. Thanks for giving me a little comfort before I leave Las Vegas for good. God bless this place I'll miss it. Alot of great memories. Rip Mr. rG thanks for turning me on to this place. A lil gem...

I came in with my son and husband on the 5th around 11am. We come often food is always good and the prices are just right. This particular day was a nightmare. We had a server that obviously should have just called out. Her name was Nelly she never greeted us, took her over 15 minutes to even come to our table after the hostess at us. Mind you there was only one other person sitting next to us. The restaurant was empty. When she finally came to our table, she rudely asked us What we wanted to drink. Another 15 minutes goes by. She brings our drinks and asked us if we’re ready to order. Her mannerisms were crap. She had the rudest grin on her face. She looked like she was an agony and didn’t wanna be there and like I was just taking her time. I never got a refill on my coffee. My husband finally got a refill on his Dr Pepper, when she brought our check. And even that was an inconvenience. As I was coming up to pay for our food. She stormed out right behind me. Yes, I complained. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had in this restaurant. Too bad...

The Asian Hostess has a bad attitude and appears to be more interested in giving the staff less work and/or early outs. The cafe has a 10pm closing time and the last several months when we go in to eat between 7.50 pm-8.10pm, the Asian hostess would give us a hard time because we wanted to sit in the main dining area and sometimes she had half the lights turned off which made it very dark for cafe dining. This last and final time we arrived at 8.05pm she refused to seat us in the main dining because she said she was preparing to close down for the night and to sit in the booths by the counter. At this time in the main area, 3 of the 4 booths were full and there were 4 other tables with people, we told her we didn’t want to sit in the upper booths, she said OK turned her back to us, put the menus away and walked away… well now we have walked away and are not...
