We finally got a chance to visit the Bar at the Distillery on 1/24/25. We arrived in time for Happy Hour. The two men working the bar were wonderful. We ended up trying most of their cocktails, two of their pizzas, the seasonal special of tomato bisque with grilled cheese and their fancy shmancy nut mix. The pizzas (veggie and ann-margret I believe) were delicious, the crust was thick but light and airy. Overall really flavorful and a great choice. The soup and grilled cheese - heaven! The bread was fresh and grilled perfectly, not too fatty and the cheese was gooey goodness. The soup was hot, beautiful tomato flavor and creamy with some tomato pieces. The nuts mix was a great snack as well, salt&smoke seasoning was my favorite but all 3 were great.
Now to the bar itself. Obviously they are a distillery, so they use their own liquors and blends for their drinks. The bar is clean, cozy, dark, decorated to remind you of old Las Vegas. Absolutely beautiful. We chose a bar table and the bar stools were really comfortable. They did a beautiful job and there are a few photos on the wall to show what the place used to look like, the difference is day and night (almost literally).
Onto the cocktails: We started with their Eastgate Sour (their bestseller with matcha foam and dried raspberry powder) and buttered rum cocktail. The sour was perfection, no notes, I will get this one every time I will come back for sure. The buttered rum drink was warm, spiced perfectly and just felt like the ultimate cold winter night drink. This one will be leaving the menu in February, so we were glad to have tried it. Next were the Atomic Pomme (seasonal) and Firewater Punch. Both were delicious, the atomic pomme was wintery with cinnamon and apple cider, the Firewater Punch was almost like a tiki version of the Pornstar and was on par for me with the Eastgate sour. Next was the Hole in the Boat for 2, a good fruity sour but probably the one we liked the least - still a great drink but didn’t stand out as much for us flavor wise. Our last drinks were the Mai Tai and the seasonal Little Less Conversation. The Mai Tai was great, not as sweet and a beautiful balanced flavor profile. Now for the Little Less Conversation - incredible! A full surprise. The description of peanut, banana and bacon sounded a bit wild but we tried it and we could have had each 2 more just for those flavors. The foam was almost like a peanut butter cup and the liquor had a nice banana flavor to it. On top was a thick piece of rum glazed bacon, the combination of all three flavors was perfect.
We also had the pleasure of listening to their live singer for the night who did a wonderful job and completed the Old Vegas vibe.
We 100% recommend giving this place a shot. You will not regret it.
Next time we come back we will also do their...
Read moreThis was my first time since the reopening. This place is quaint in the best way. They make their own liquors. It’s tastefully decorated in old Vegas style with a modern flair.
If you want that personalized service with non-robotic servers with loads of personality who treat YOU LIKE 👍🏼 VIPs without the haughty air. The beauty of the night was partly due to the featured cocktails 🍸 and the entertainment.
I had the Show Pony. If you live to drink Old Fashioneds this is yours! Served with a dried apricot and goes down without being overly sweet or overly anything. Just darn well balanced.
Secondly, the entertainment! Fantastic- you must go see Andrew Lee the Sinatra Guy. He was a delight. He is interactive, takes requests and even does a tiny jig on stage. You will feel the classy old Vegas vibe. Dress a bit better than usual to go to this location. Also, order the pizza. It was awesome!! 👏🏻
If you mention my name it literally gets you nothing but a...

I learned so much about the process of distilling and loved the fact that the tour appeals to all your senses. Taste, touch, smell, sight and sound, the whole process is brought out in front of you to experience first hand. I feel like I learned so much about the process of distillation that I have a new appreciation for the art and craftsmanship of spirits making.
I would highly recommend seeing the truly unique "copper angels," I've never seen something so fascinating to watch and understand how gin, vodka, whiskey, moonshine, are organic arts directly from Nevada. Honestly, I felt like I may have a had a quiz at the end because I was learning so much, and hanging on every phase of the process.
If you don't see it, you'll wish you did when you start seeing the bottles at Whole Foods and upscale...
