Flat Rock Fresh General Store — Local services in Hendersonville

My wife and I are so glad to have this local owned and locally grown produce in such a convenient location. We usually stop by twice a week to find out what we will be having for dinner that week. Today we picked up new potatoes, yellow squash, onions, heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn along with broccoli and carrots for salads. They of course have a great variety of local apples, peaches, cantaloupe and watermelon too. You have to get there on the right day to get the fresh eggs because they go fast! There are 3 or 4 freezers with fresh pork and beef too! Lots of other local “country store” type items too. Friendliest staff you will find. Did I mention the great prices? Don’t buy your produce from the grocery store (from ???) when you can get it straight...

We stopped in on our way home from a weekend camping trip. A good friend had recommend Flat Rock Fresh and since it was right off the exit it was super quick and easy to visit. Boy are we glad we did. The open air building really had a general store / fruit stand feel. Everything was fresh, clean and well stocked. There was lots of variety to choose from. We chose apples, peaches, honey with the comb, honey sticks and a large fresh grown tomato. There were plenty of employees around who were super friendly and happy to answer all our questions. Y’all. I can’t even begin to describe how AMAZING this place is! We came up this way to go to the orchards and look for Asian Pears. Sadly the place we usually go to was out so we thought we were out of luck. But we remembered this stand on the side of the road and wanted to stop and look there on the way back. Let’s just say with left with way more than our apples! We got them, muffins, caramel corn, turnovers, cakes, salsa, and jelly and they had even more than that!
