If I could give this place 0 stars I 100% would. Let me start off with saying I bought a 2010 Toyota Avalon on August 28th from this place with 106,000 miles. Test drove it, everything went perfectly. He even talked it up VERY well, explaining he has the same car and itâs still going over 200,000+ miles later. Upon paying and driving it off the lot, I didnât make it 5 miles down the road until the check engine light, traction control light and a couple others came on. I test drove it before buying it for a total of 25-30 minutes straight to ensure nothing like this would happen. It drove SO smooth. I called and he was nice enough to check it out even though it doesnât come with warranty which I was extremely thankful for, however after 8 days with my car, all he did was reset the code for me AND put the wrong spark plugs in my car, So I went back to get it, same thing happened. 5 miles down the road and all lights were back on. He stressed that I REALLY needed to get car shield and now Iâm seeing just exactly why he said that. Iâve currently paid $1800 to fix the âso called problemâ with an actual mechanic, $800 the first time to do a tune up and fix their problem (of putting the wrong spark plugs and such in) and $1000 the second (my coolant tank had a leak in it and also the power steering) When mentioning where I bought the car from, all of them had bad things to say about this place, their cars and the owner. I took it back yesterday because my check engine light and others came back on for a third time and still havenât solved the problem or figured out exactly whatâs going on. My point is, do PLENTY of research and make sure to test drive for a long time just in case (even ask if you can keep it overnight which is something I wish I wouldâve done, and if they donât offer that, DONâT BUY THE CAR.) Because now Iâm out of $15,000 and very stressed. Itâs partially my fault for not doing a 100% check on the car first but Iâm not a car person and women are took advantage of when purchasing cars. Mark (the owner) has no problem screwing people out of their hard earned money without a care in the world. I even stressed needing a reliable car since my fiancĂ© has MS and needs transported back and forth from Winston Salem and I have a child in school, had just lost a family member and my job. He STILL led me to believe that car was PERFECT and had no damages. Even the carfax seemed good! Iâm going to end it all by saying, DO ALL OF THE RESEARCH IN THE WORLD before buying a car...
Read moreDangerous vehicles! Dishonest and evasive or ignorant dealer and manager. Our young son took out a loan on a Toyota Tacoma that only ran a few days. It has been in the NC floods! They lied on the Damage Disclosure and think the "As Is" form overrides their deceit. They deserve to go out of business if they are so ignorant to miss the signs in the pictures. The day of purchase Hickory Toyota dealership turned a light off and sent our son to buy it. Prideful, arrogant men running a car lot should have detected river bed gravel on the inner fenders, mud in the air filters, muddy water in the fuse box, rust under the seats, which had seat covers, and water stains on the headliner. (Pictures below) Our son spent $850 on fixing codes in the first 5 days. Called the owner, Ward, and asked him to take it back he said, "it ain't happenin'." On day 8 it wouldn't crank, so we had it towed it to our family mechanic who verified evidence of flood damage and could not repair it. The diagnostic codes are not consistent with the symptoms. It is an electrical mess bc it was SITTING IN A RIVER! This dealer put in writing he would fix it. I heard his worker say it was showing too many codes and seemed like it had been wet. After 4 weeks without transportation, the dealer got it cranked and returned it and the next day a low oil pressure light is on. It shakes so much our son will not get up to speed on the interstate to get to work as a first responder. 40 days later and almost $20,000 spent for a $12,000 Parts Vehicle. We delivered a DMV complaint form to an impotent DMV officer, who had pictures of the truck, but will not declare a fraud. Two dealerships and this agency are looking the other way to keep dangerous NC flood vehicles...
Read moreMy husband and I have bought two cars from here, and father Inlaw has bought three!!!! None of us has had a prob with any of them except fixing small things here and there (the first bought was in 2017) !!! People have to understand this Is NOT A NEW CAR DEALERSHIP!!!!!!! They sell older cars and that comes with higher mileage at lower prices!! Its a BUY AS IS !!! They are connected to Car Shield which offers extended warrantyâs for these older cars, but if you decide not to use it then thatâs on you!!!!! These are older car models so you canât expect them to last forever⊠that being said all the cars that we have bought from here are still on the move. We have had to do small maintenance on them, but come on what do you expect. Mike did not smooth talk us to buy the cars!! He let us test drive and inspect the car as we wanted. Then ask us if we want it. If we said no he wasnât pushy. If we said yes then we did the paperwork simple as that!!! I wasnât looking for something brand new it wasnât in my budget, but for something to last a few yrs at a decent price then I will continue to use this dealership!!!!! Also donât expect them to hold something for you if they get a buyer right on the spot you canât blame them for going ahead and making the...
